Ran into this solenoid valve last night on my MP210. I was doing a stitch weld that required a bunch of tacking. I feel the solenoid over heats with the inr rush of amperage and never gets a chance to cool down. Eventually the solenoid fails completely I would imagine. I'm buying a spare.....thanks for that part number.

Some info I ran across- Intermediate Band Not Releasing: A problem with the intermediate band not releasing can cause the transmission to shift down to 2nd gear. Vacuum Modulator Malfunction: A faulty vacuum modulator can also contribute to this problem, as it affects the transmission’s ability to regulate gear shifts. It's suggested to check the vacuum modulator before tearing into the transmission. Valve Body Assembly Errors: Incorrect assembly or damage to the valve body can also cause shifting issues, including dropping down to 2nd gear while cruising.

So that's how that trim goes on I only had the bottom peice and the trangle end pieces in my 69. I just found a whole set trim and ordered it so this video was super helpful! Oh by the way I noticed water likes to get into those side peice screw holes cause mine are rusted out. I'll probably use some double sides tape to hold them on til I can get to fixing rust and body work. I only drive it on sunny days cause I haven't put the weather stripping in yet.

I’m not the best on transmissions, but have you tried putting a T in the vacuum hose and running the line to a gauge you cn read while your driving? Maybe to low vacuum pressure might cause this. What do you think?

Did you happen to check your kick down adjustment and make sure that it's not sticking? I think they're supposed to be a spring on the kickdown to hold it up

I took the kickdown completely off, so it shouldn't be interfering with anything

I have to do this myself. Great video! I have a 1969 Mustang 2DHT with an inline 6 (4.1L). I’m struggling to find a rear window seal that fits my car. I checked on Rock Auto, but they only have one for the fastback, it seems. Finding parts is not easy for someone living in Norway, unfortunately.

Hey there, I missed yer last one, on the transmission issues, continued... Though I've got a set of 2017 Mustang GT seats, in black cloth, I'll be fabbing up my own custom solution, for soon. Those Pro car's version's look just right 👍 in there, I've got to give you that . Please post on how you liked the "feel" of it.. After some driving.... God bless...

I would check the case vent on the transmission, if it is not venting correctly it can build pressure inside the trans as it gets wormed up.

Do not shift into park going 40, it is not fine the people saying that are ignorant of what will or can happen. And that will not help the governor.
@ProjectBarn6 ай бұрын
Yeah, I wouldn't dream of it. It just sounds wrong all around.
@RichardHeadGaming6 ай бұрын
Yes there is supposed to be a spring at the top of the kick down rod on the throttle linkage. Your trans is just kick down not TV so it does not need the rod to operate.
@RichardHeadGaming6 ай бұрын
My question is if you changed the bushing in the output housing, the one the yoke of driveshaft rides in, that is almost always what makes the trans seal leak (excessive play).

Since the seal change and sealing around the seal I haven't had a single drip

They are only about a 1/16 of an inch off from factory new as sold, the gaps on the front and back were wide on that era. People making show cars tighten them when they build them before paint.

You inspired me, to use templates, to fabricate and weld in, 1/8" plates, to the lower control arm mounting brackets, where you built them from scratch!!!! Loved seeing your triumphant maiden voyage!!!! I'm in the states, but couldn't help start humming, "O Canada, land that I love" while watching.. Let's see some of your "test and tuning" work, to get that thing dialed in, for that demon carb, and let's see that A/C operation shakedown.. God bless ..
