wow, that movie was a thing, I definitely remember vore horse and most definitely the gingerbread man chase and transformation sequence for the wrong reasons as some douche was screaming flubber when I went to see it back then and kind of killed the horror lol

I found out about some extra details from the mud monster/Gingerbread Man scene from a friend who's friends with Laura Greenwood, Sasha's actress, and revealed some interesting and horrifying details of that scene like the reason why faceless Sasha is walking oddly even for someone who cannot see is because she's seeing herself through her eyes on the mud monster, Sasha becomes male as a Gingerbread Man as some "ironic" punishment from the Mirror Queen due the fact she was hiding from her by crossdressing as a boy and there were more scenes with her character planned, but due budget cuts, they couldn't afford to film more scenes and much less CGI
@SegaGirlNBАй бұрын
Holy shit that is incredible and also horrifying!! Thank you so much for those details! I never really thought about her being able to see herself through the eyes of the monster, that’s insane!!
@zamann7657Ай бұрын
I remember people theorizing that on the comment section of the yt upload of that scene as the movements seemed too erratic for someone who's blind, thankfully that was confirmed by the actress and it gives that part a more horrifying context
@SegaGirlNBАй бұрын
@@zamann7657 No kidding! I wish they would’ve been given the budget to flesh that whole part out because Sasha is really the only kid in the movie who has the most dialogue and screen time. i would’ve loved to see what Gilliam had planned!
@zamann7657Ай бұрын
It's a shame, really Some way I can think of getting more behind the scenes information would be from defunct sites that weren't completely archived and are now lost media
@vilebee6608Ай бұрын
@zamann7657 can your friend show some screenshots of the conversation please? I don't want to be intrusive but I kind of want to see the actress's own comments directly from the source
@JimvanhiseАй бұрын
This film works much better if you completely remove the pointless banquet scene in the middle of the film which seems to exist only to give Jonathan Pryce more screen time. I saw this in a theater and that scene completely stopped the film dead so if you watch this on line, skip over that scene and the film is many times better. Then when they return to the village it is good again. The climax of the film in the tower with the witch is terrific.
@SegaGirlNBАй бұрын
I almost want to see a fan edit that restores all the deleted scenes including the giant tree attack that was cut. So many of the deleted footage explains a lot of important details or acts as connective tissue to help scenes flow together better. Unfortunately, those scenes aren’t in good enough quality to get there.

I was raised by a pair of early 00s numetalheads, and they introduced me to this movie when I was, like, 9? I fondly remember it and think of it as a perfect example of the out of the box, strange stuff that we got during that era. The only part that *really* scared me as a kid was the spiderhorse, which even now makes me uncomfortable at 25 years old. Eek! Great video :)

I totally get why anyone would be freaked out by this scene. YEESH, that CGI, the faceless girl looking like a victim of Koh the Face-Stealer, it has a home address right in the uncanny valley. The way that mud-thing moves even reminds me of the water wraith from Pikmin 2 & 4. Still, with all its flaws, this does look like an interesting movie. Films that try to be so many different things but miss the mark utterly fascinate me. Maybe I'll check it out one day. Great job with this video, Corrin! Whatever you make next, I'll be here to watch it =)

It's been ages since I have played either game, but the Clockwork Knight games are special games to me. It's got such a whimsical and dreamlike feeling in its visuals and theme that puts it far above most games I've played, and it really resonated with me when I discovered it during my high school years. Many nights I adventured through both games back to back via the two-game disc. The characters are phenomenal, and I love how strange the boss fights can get. Great OST too, the Clock Tower Stage 1 theme is a true toe-tapper!

Greetings! Welcome to the Vtuber scene! Just found your channel today and am excited to watch your past and future content! I don't know if me doing a shoutout in the comments would mean anything, but would you either like or mind me shouting you out in the comment section of the Vtuber channel of Takahata101? For those who dont know, Takahata101 is the internet name of one of the fine folks behind team four star (think voices of Nappa, Cell, and Alucard). He has become a prolific Vtuber over on Twitch. Runs a show called Weary101. The setup is his vtuber avatar runs a bar where various other vtubers come in and are silly/shoot the breeze with him. Side note: as someone new to this channel, please forgive me if everyone knows the answer to this already....but are you currently/will be on Twitch?

Great review! I’m glad to see all this love for my favorite childhood game! I agree with most of your points, but I think having enemies spawn in the hallways and after you turn on the lights in a room was a great addition. It keeps it challenging and prevents parts of the game from turning stale.
