Thank you very much for your video. I would like to know why the area calculated with QGIS is different from the one calculated with ArcGIS Desktop, for example when calculating the area of a layer in the EPSG 9377 system, the square meters differ in the two programs. Kindly, could you explain us how to configure QGIS so that the calculated areas are equal with ArcGIS Desktop.

Thank you for this video, truly appreciate it. I'm still a bit confused, if you could help me. The comments below showed that the unit is in sqm, but where did you define that? At 0:18", I couldn't see whether it was meter or feet... Sorry for the question and thank you.

Hi Bernard. I am using your tutorial for learning. I have faced few problems : 1. The shapefile is showing on map at one particular zoom level. when I zoom in to my area it displays no data(shapefile). Although the layer is checked. 2. You have used EPSG:900913, can I used EPSG:4326 for Pakistan? 3. you have used var extents = new OpenLayers.Bounds(4079939, -162296, 4131475, -127987); should I change them for my area? looking forward for your positive response. Thanks

Good video. I am working with some data in Italy with CRS set to EPSG 32632. How do I know if I am working in meters or degrees? Where can I check this information? Indeed I am trying to calculate the area of buffer (300 meters radius) but I get strange results

Hi, Thanks for this useful tutorial. I have a question for your code. var extents = new OpenLayers.Bounds(4079939, -162296, 4131475, -127987); This is not latitude and longtitude because Niarobi is coordinate is Latitude : -1.283253 | Longitude : 36.817245. How we can use latitude and longtitude to specify the bounding box and center?

I think for this video, he didn't use the Mercator Projection (geographic angular projection) for the Webmap and reproject from Mercator to the local projection of Kenya (surely a geographic metric projection)

Nice Explanation. Thank you. Is it possible to give every column label a different color by using expressions in the editor? Now there are two ways: First by multiple layers and using the diagram function in properties. But maybe you know a way to handle this problem with sql-expressions. Would be a great help.

Hello Benard. Thank you for sharing this project. I would like to ask two questions: 1) how you created the structure of the folders? 2) how you extract the shapefiles? 3) if we want to add our shapefiles we also have to change code from the folder? Thank you again!!!!!
