Got mine today, very disappointed, The silk screen printing on the buttons is unreadable and the seal on the box was broken, so its going back and I'm hoping they will exchange it for the grey version.

You are someone who should not do review videos about a software you dont know how to use properly....read the manual and come back

Appreciate the feedback but the video states my perspective. Not as much a review as it is my perspective. I like Reason but even long time experienced users say some of the same things and more: I like Reason but there is no doubt some of the things they are doing is not necessarily helping them with their user base or perspective new users. Kickback who is a longtime user even stated she’s moving on from Reason for some of the same things I mentioned and more.

Easiest way to do pitch drums up and down the keys is use NN19s load sample and your ready to go, no messing about with grain needed. To play drums put NN19s into one Combinator then right click and create sequencer track for each NN19 and there you go drums. You want more control rute the NN19s audio out into the Kong or Redrum track inputs.
@HOLLASOUNDS
@HOLLASOUNDS 2 жыл бұрын
I use mostly the Redrum and Dr rex for drums wack a Scream 4 on everything. You said you cant pitch edit drums but you can in Redrum you can use automaton and effects the individual drums pitch and that's very effective. You can also rute the Redrum sounds and use NN19s as the source. Each Redrum channel has a in and out audio connection at the back of the rack so you can have nn19s as the audio source and then change pitch easy.

I've started using Waves CR8 now. No need for Mimic or any other plugin now. Canceled my Reason plus sub 2 days ago. Sticking with Reason 11 sutie.
@HOLLASOUNDS
@HOLLASOUNDS 2 жыл бұрын
@@BlessbyGBeats I thought Waves CR8 was basically identical to Mimmic in terms of function. Reason Studios updated Mimmic with pitch detection. Your Mimmic was not fully finished betta.

@@BlessbyGBeats Reason 12s on sale so I'm buying the upgrade. I have been using Reason version 4 for 15 years lol.

@@HOLLASOUNDS yeah, they released the update shortly after the release. My issue with Reason plus is the sub price is just too much. I am considering the 33% discount but when I looked at it it is only for the annual membership. I want to be able to cancel at any time so I am going to pass. I will subscribe for one more month as their are beats that I forgot to export the audio tracks but I'm done with the subscription. I will stick with Reason 11 suite of which I think is the pinnacle of Reason for right now.
@HOLLASOUNDS
@HOLLASOUNDS 2 жыл бұрын
@@BlessbyGBeats I totally agree with you, I couldn't really justify the cost of Reason plus as so much of My Reason sound is from Reason 4 and I have been able to create literally anything I want with those old stock devices. I think the limitations make Me more creative and I guarantee that most people think I must be using Grain or Europa or Friktion or VSTs but I'm not. I started with a cracked Reason 2 in 2005 then I was studying to do adult teaching and while I was at collage I copy of the Education vertion of Reason 4 in 2007. I was not My intention to crack the software but I had no disk drive on My PC so I made a digital copy of the disk and installed with drive emulator. Anyway getting an official license of Reason is long over due but I didn't want to pay £500 but I'm buying Reason 12 now for £335 that's the price an official Reason 4 was back in 2007. I just hope it runs on My current laptop.

You dont need to keep starting from scratch you save your patch and then just load that on a new one. So drag 10 of the grains into the rack and then load the patch.

When I first see and used Abalten I described it the same as you just described Reason. Reasons fast because all you do is drag a device into the rack and select it and then record or play around with the midi. You can run help mode and it shows and highlights everything you need to know.

Beats dope. Definitely sounds like something from the 90s. I always loved Korg. I bought the original legacy collection in 2005. Wish I didn't sell the ms20 midi keyboard it came with. Smh.

Reason is too powerful for most. You actually have to have an understanding of routing. If you don't understand how synths work or routing hardware then it won't be "fun" for you. It's geared to allow you to create sounds, sound design is one of it's stronger points. Reason is a tool and excellent if you understand how to use it. Just like no one uses Maschine to mix/master in. People don't play live sets in Pro Tools. Reason is one of the only Daws you can do EVERYTHING in. It's learning curve is rather steep bc it's not "preset" oriented.
@HOLLASOUNDS
@HOLLASOUNDS 2 жыл бұрын
You dont need to do any routing in Reason and when I do I just copy or switch out devices in Combinators made by other people. Anything you probably want has been made as a patch and most of the time it's free.

Oh, BTW, Inicial Áudio used to lack deeply on feedbacks and helping users, not anymore. But still are lacking on tutorials. And you did not started to mess with LFOs and the patches we can assign. That is a very important feature, too. Thank you for the great video!

Thank you very much! Please don't get me wrong but, try to process your áudio thru a hard cliper a little bit to get a better loudness. A think it wil give you a good approach to apply it on your tracks and bus before the Master limiter and gain a lot of dBs. I'm saying that because your videos sound are a little too low. Talking about 808 Studio II, I had to get mine! Thank yoy very much! Tons of possibilities on layering and using our samples and só many usable sounds on it out of the box... Só cool! And they just update it to 2.1.1 version these days... We can sabe EQ on presets, now... Beautiful piece on a synth form.

Nice shit man, ordered an Mk3 earlier this week, I think they still come with the $25 voucher this for 1/2 price would be fire. Drums sound super legit, crazy it only costs $50. Being a Dre affiliated producer I thought this shit would be like $199 or something. And my ass was ready to totally ignore it because when I 1st saw it my Cali public school ass read "Artist Expression: DJ Khaled" And I thought to myself it's gotta be weak as hell. But thankfully before I left the page I noticed the pic and saw Khalil and had an oh shit moment.
