Hi Tim, just watched your walk from this morning on catch up just now. The weather is much better with you than it is with me at the moment. The Snow is still about here in Aberdeen. Hopefully in the next few days it will begin to clear and then my Dad and I can get back to our gardening jobs. 🤞

I’m trying to figure out how to sell my house and not stay in Tenerife before the end. No more than 180 days, before becoming resident not to get charged twice for the capital gains tax. I could sell in June, leave USA in July or August… go to Italy for two months and then go to Ireland for two month and then move to Tenerife and buy property ( not to have to pay a wealth tax).. and become a resident in 2026

As a European citizen, you have free movement. If you stay in another European country for longer than 90 days, then you are asked to register with the police as a resident if you do not do this then you become an irregular citizen. During this time you cannot access any of the local services that means you would have to pay for any doctors appointments, etc.. i’m not an expert on tax and wealth, so it’s probably easier to get professional advice from a gestor

They won’t evacuate the whole island, but there are plans in place to make sure people in the danger areas are evacuated. It’s the same plans as they had in La Palma.

Yes, you can get all the dried beans and rehydrated beans in jars. Then, if you go to the Indian shops, you can get everything.
