I hesitated to create this video because it contradicts some of my previous content, but I believe it’s essential to address the complexities of the self-help movement. Like all things in life, too much can be as harmful as too little. It’s important to share the truth and encourage a balanced approach to personal growth. I hope this resonates with you, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences!

Opening the door to change is a deeply personal journey that only we can embark on. While others may encourage or even try to force us to change, true transformation comes from within. Changes imposed by others are unlikely to last and won’t be as fulfilling as those we choose willingly. Let’s embrace this journey together and empower one another to unlock our fullest potential! 💪

I can relate to the struggles shared in this video. I used to be someone who wore a mask at work, always the calm and collected one, but I found myself losing my temper at home, taking my frustrations out on my family. It took time and reflection, but I've learned the importance of treating my loved ones with the respect and kindness they deserve. This journey has been transformative, and I’m grateful for the lessons learned.

These 12 principles from Dale Carnegie may seem simple, but they're not always easy to put into practice, especially when some of us are quick-tempered like I am. However, I find it helpful to remind myself to focus on 1 or 2 at a time when interacting with others. Slowly incorporating them into our habits can make a big difference in how we communicate.

Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People is one of my favorite books of all time. It has profoundly impacted my life and serves as my go-to guide for all things relationship management. This video covers the first third of the book, focusing on how to handle people effectively. I’m inspired to create more videos highlighting the valuable lessons and takeaways from this timeless classic. Thanks to the viewers' comments on my other relationship-building videos, I made this video to remind ourselves that not everyone we encounter is worthy of our love and friendship. Similarly, not all of our loved ones will truly love us. Many forms of manipulation can occur between life partners, family members, relatives, and close friends. We shouldn't be blinded by such 'love' and must prioritize loving ourselves first; just remember not to do it at the expense of others. Our well-being matters, and it's okay to set boundaries and protect our hearts. Stay strong and take care!

This video presents a controversial perspective that many may disagree with, but like all things in life, motivational quotes have two sides to their coin. While they can be powerful tools when used wisely, it's not the quotes themselves that are the issue, but rather misinterpretation, poor execution, and over-reliance that can lead us astray. Success requires more than motivation-it demands hard work, time, energy, and often a bit of luck. The key is to invest our heart and soul, embrace failure as a teacher, learn from our mistakes, and prepare for opportunities. We must develop the wisdom to know when to persist and when to pivot, as true growth comes from within, nurtured by self-reflection, resilience, and a balanced perspective on life's challenges.

Unlike what many think, happiness is not something that happens out of luck or our upbringing. It's a choice we make and an ability we learn and develop. It comes from within us, instead of from others or external circumstances. This journey isn't always easy, but it's worth it. Remember, you have the power to shape your own happiness. Be patient with yourself, never give up, and keep choosing happiness no matter what happens. Even when we haven't reached our ultimate happiness yet, let's find joy in knowing we're on the path. The very fact that we have the ability to grow and change is something to be grateful for. Our journey towards happiness is itself a source of contentment and hope!

I know a friend who like to troll others online because he doesn’t know how to socialize with others. Beside trolling, he also talks arrogantly to new comers but deep in my heart I know he’s helpful guy who doesn’t know how to earn respect and connect with others properly. It was disheartening when I hear others criticizing him behind his back. This reminded me of a Chinese saying: '可怜之人,必有可恨之处. 可恨之人,必有可悲之苦' (The pitiful have detestable traits; the detestable have sorrowful burdens). This incident inspires me to make this video hoping to help those who face the similar situation. Let me know if you have ever experienced something similar or know someone facing the same situation.

I would like to share a life-changing phrase: "When life is tough, be nice to yourself. When life is good, be nice to others." I am a demanding person and have very high expectations for myself, which led to me having very high expectations of others too, including my loved ones. I used to be hard on myself and others, making most people around me miserable. Now, I'm kinder to myself during rough times, which helps me be more understanding of others. It's like taking a flight where the air stewardess advises us to put on our own oxygen mask first before helping others during a flight crisis. By taking care of ourselves, we're better equipped to support those around us. Has anyone else found this to be true in their life?

It used to bother me when people don’t like me esp when I didn’t do anything to them. Usually they don’t like themselves out of insecurity, jealousy, controlling, etc. Who want to hang with these kind of toxic people rejection is God protection. People always reap what they sow. I only do with a few people it to many fake, nosy, gossipy, judgmental people these days. But remember there are good people. You're absolutely right - we can never make everyone like us, and it's crucial to use common sense when dealing with people, as not everyone will have our best interests at heart. The goal of this video is to help us become more likeable, but as you wisely point out, there are many factors at play in interpersonal relationships. I believe the least we can do is try not to give people reasons to dislike us unnecessarily. Your comment adds a valuable dimension to this conversation, reminding us to be discerning while still striving to improve our social skills. Thank you for contributing to this insightful discussion!

As someone who rarely smiled, not because I was unhappy, but due to my natural demeanor and professional requirements, I never realized how it affected others. It took a close colleague to point out that I looked fierce and unapproachable. Since then, I've been consciously working on putting up a mild smile to soften my appearance. It's an ongoing process, but I've noticed positive changes in how people interact with me. Anyone else struggling with this? How are you working on it?

I used to be a perfectionist who tried to plan and control every aspect of my life. A few years ago, I lost someone very dear to me, and it shattered my world. I grieved badly because I couldn't let go and surrender to what had happened. Somehow, I stumbled upon the true meaning of surrender - letting go of the illusion of control over the uncontrollable. This shifted my perspective tremendously. I'm sharing this concept because I realized if we don't learn to surrender what we cannot control, we'll live a miserable, anxiety-ridden and grieving life.

I would like to emphasize that solitude is an inner practice that we can cultivate even amidst our daily environments. The key is finding ways to temporarily block out external distractions and mental noise in order to go inward. We don't necessarily need to retreat to a quiet cabin in the woods. Even taking a few mindful moments during a break at school or work to find a peaceful corner and simply breathe and ponder can provide that solitary reset.

We may find the "fake it 'til you make it" practice awkward and abnormal, yet many of us have been doing it unconsciously. Remember the times you needed to make a presentation in front of your classmates or colleagues - what did you say to yourself to calm down? Most of us probably said something like, "Be steady, it's okay, I can do this," right? Then we tried to look calm and steady for the presentation. This is exactly what "faking it 'til you make it" means. Hopefully, this video reminds you that you actually know how to build confidence, but you may not have been aware of it. Let's practice the Unshakable Confidence Blueprint consciously and build our confidence so we can unleash our full potential to achieve our goals!

I learned the Feynman Technique many years ago. As someone working in the finance profession, I find it invaluable for explaining complex financial planning and analysis concepts to non-finance colleagues. By breaking things down into simple language and analogies, I'm able to convey even the most technical topics in a way that makes sense to them. The process of putting it into my own words and looking for areas where I get stuck has really solidified my own mastery. I've also used the Feynman method extensively when training and coaching my team. Having them explain concepts back to me reveals any gaps in their understanding that we can immediately address. The Feynman Technique has been a total game-changer for me in terms of effective communication, knowledge transfer, and developing a deeper personal grasp of the subject matter. I can't recommend it enough!

It's a common belief that we should always push forward, no matter how challenging the path may seem. However, sometimes, continuing on the wrong path can lead us further away from our goals. There are times when we need to persist and push through obstacles, while at other times, it's wiser to pivot and change course. The key is to stay self-aware, reflect on your progress, and choose the path that aligns with your values and priorities. Remember, there's no single right way - it's about finding the approach that works best for you on your journey to success. I hope everyone who watches this video can find the right approach to set their goals and achieve their dreams.

Hey there! It's awesome that you're curious about what makes salespeople so successful. You're absolutely right that sales skills play a significant role in various industries because they excel at connecting with people and understanding what they need, which is super important in many different jobs. There's no single secret formula for sales success, but it definitely involves always learning new things, being able to handle challenges, and being adaptable. Learning specific sales techniques can help, but it's also very important to keep growing as a person and having a positive attitude. It's fantastic that you're looking for book recommendations. While there isn't one perfect book for every situation, I've personally found some books super helpful, like: - "How To Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie - "Mindset" by Carol S. Dweck - "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill - "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen R. Covey You can also learn a lot from reading biographies of inspiring and successful people like Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos etc, on how they think and approach challenges. Keep learning and you'll achieve amazing things - you got this!

I've been practicing mindfulness breathing for quite some time, but I wasn't aware of mindfulness in eating, showering, walking, etc., until I researched this topic. Now, I start to practice mindfulness when I eat, shower, etc., even when sleeping (i.e., mindfully relaxing my mind and body muscles when I lie on bed to prepare myself for sleep). I think most of us forget to do things mindfully, not just the exercises mentioned in the video, but many other things as well. I hope the video will inspire you all to start practicing mindfulness, as we can do a lot more things mindfully, like drinking water, exercising, and so forth. The key is to be present and experience what we are doing mindfully. That said, it doesn't mean we can only do one thing at a time. For instance, when we are having meals with our loved ones, we can still communicate with them with an open mind while enjoying our food mindfully. Feel free to share your personal understanding and experience of mindfulness. Cheers!

I've recently come to a realization about a misconception I've held onto regarding "forgiveness" throughout my life. I've often considered myself forgiving, although in truth, I may have leaned more towards forgetfulness. While I typically let go of unhappy incidents over time, there are a few lingering grudges that I've held onto. I now understand that my reluctance to forgive stemmed from a desire not to forget these past hurts, unwittingly causing myself distress. Through researching and reflecting on this topic, I've recognized my error. Consequently, I've decided to release these long-held grudges, understanding that forgiveness does not equate to forgetting. While I acknowledge that it will take time for me to fully forgive, I am committed to working on it until I succeed. I hope you guys will find something enlightening from this video too.
