Carl is a Dayton area treasure. I grew up watching him and always respected and looked up to him.

I was working in a record store and "assisted" Mr. Asbury in finding some LPs. We were in the soundtrack section, and he pointed out "Eraserhead", David Lynch's first film to me. Told me it was the freakiest movie he'd ever seen. He was right!

Nice interview, Guy! Watched Mark back when I was in high school. Back in those days, Friday night, Omar Williams & his team was where it was at for Operation Football.

Bruce worked in Columbia MO in the early 90's. I met him once. He seemed like a genuinely good guy. Great weatherman as well.

I went on to work for the MDA national version of the Telethon and was 5 feet away from Jerry in the production trailer.. you can’t imagine how proud i was of the WKEF experience and all of you. I have had some great times, but the experience I had during the local broadcast of the telethon remain some of the best! And I’ve told that same story of the ice and running to the car! When they hit that building it was like explosions!

It’s good to see and hear Bruce doing so well. He’s a good guy who left a lot of great memories here in Dayton. He stepped into a legend’s shoes when he took over for Gil Whitney and did a superb job at it. I know a number of people dwell on his mistake, but he overcame it and completely redeemed himself and ended his career on a good note. I’m proud of the fact that he’s a big part of Dayton’s history.

Love this so much. Jim Baldridge is the face I'll always associate with local news growing up in the area and Guy Fogle was hands down my favorite teacher in HS. This conversation just made my afternoon.

@@Guynelson2023 I wish I could have asked Jim about the time when Bruce was out at Wright State. It was windy and rainy. The wind caught Burce's umbrella and pulled his troupe off. When they turned back to Jim and Deborah Countiss they were laughing so hard they could hardly speak. I had the video for a long time, but can't find it now.
