This happened because there is a set amount of time that the inferno tower fires.( This also includes the Xbow and eagle artillery) any when that firing time is finished it stop functioning.

Scattershop too, 4 minutes. X bow for 3 minutes 12 sec, Eager, 5 minutes, Inferno 2 minutes 5 sec

Its because most inferno towers like eagle artillery also have dark elixir if it rans out u need to refill it with dark elixer i think

That used to be the case but they now auto refill. Inferno tower burns the quickest and while the artillery is more common to run out, Inferno can always run out in a raid if constantly attacking.
