The problem with Yasuke is not his existence, but the fact that Yasuke's "delusion of a legendary black samurai" has been arbitrarily adopted as historical fact overseas without Japan's knowledge. Also, it has already been discovered that they exaggerated the existence of Yasuke and spread it abroad to make it a historical fact. That is historical falsification. Yasuke is Japanese history. Many Japanese people are angry, saying, "White people was enslaved Japanese people, so don't use Japanese history to atone for the barbaric acts of white people who enslaved black people in the past!". In this regard, Mr. Lockley often exaggerates the story, saying that Yasuke might have been like this. It is his personal view of history and is too rough. I think the fear that your job is replacable by AI may feel founded but in terms of thinking 2-3 year ahead. Smaller Devs doing more means small companies competing with bigger ones.

What I think this misses is the heavy involvement of upper-management that doesn't understand gaming. Gates is very involved still & he's gonna be 70 soon.

What would obliterate literally every large subscription based service is a reverse rebate (probably another word for that), where the government sets a base useage rate for certain types of subscription based services, and if the user doesn't use it enough they recive a portions of their money back, or a discount on their next psyment...or they could just make it so they instantly cancel if the service isn't used more than twice within a payment frame. These services are objectivly encouraged and rewarded for making sure the forever paying user uses the products as least as possible while still pulling in other costumers, and that should be controlled in all businesses, specifically this one where the reward is the highest.
