So I had that issue with our fisher and it was not just leaking inside the washer but had filled up the whole inside around the mother board.

Great video and very helpful, even for my GWL15 with leaky water inlet valve. The only difference is the hot and cold water valves are combined into a single unit and has a green ground wire. But otherwise very similar installation.

At video time 1:56 you can clearly see a black ring (rubber washer?) around the spline drive draft however at video time 2.03 it is no longer there. Is this a rubber seal of some kind? Thank you.

Was there a sloshing of water inside the drum, I took mine out and there's water sealed inside, not sure if it's supposed to be in there or not

Literally doing my tub and have the same problem. Water sloshing inside the inner bowl. Maybe it's supposed to be in there as a dampener?

Hi. I had this problem on a 20 yr old WA37T26G washer and ended up using a hammer to knock the motor shaft downward. I used a smaller mall type of hammer - no claw, just a mini Thor looking thing about 12" long about 3 lbs IIRC. It took like 6 whacks on the end of the shaft while pulling the inner tub up with my other hand. There was some pucker factor involved, tbh, but no damage. There are two hard rubber seals that got stuck onto the shaft that needed to be freed. In future, I'm thinking that since we have hard water, running washing machine cleaner at some interval may have prevented the crud build up that froze the tub in place. Another possibility is putting a few gallons of cleaning vinegar in and letting soak overnight. I don't know if that would pit the shaft though.

Hi there, we have the same washer and love it but now rinse water leaks from the bottom right corner. Not sure what is causing the leak but if you can do a trouble shooting video for leaks that happen at rinse cycle it would be much appreciated! Check drain hose and water inlet valves, no leaks there. Thank you!

@@rosemarylarkin7074 yes, there is a seal in the pump that could have gone bad, but it is best to replace the pump and see what happens.

Mine has just developed a small drip, and I know I could figure out if is hot or cold valve and just replace one only, but WHY isn't there a REPAIR KIT with the rubber actuating seal and pin valve available? I used to repair solenoids ALL THE TIME back about 30 years ago you COULD BUY JUST THOSE PARTS! $80.00 PLUS SHIPPING AND TAX for just ONE valve is WAY too much money for these items!! I have single lever shutoff valve at machine I ALWAYS shut it off when machine is done!! So it won't be dripping ANYHOW when I am not using it! Oh Well, such is LIFE!! LOLOL

Thank you so much for posting this video. One of my kids washed some loose shoelaces, which got caught below the tub. Your video helped us get the laces and get the washer working. It was a learning experience for my son, who saw me struggle, learn, and fix. Thank you for taking the time and care to record and share this procedure.

Thanks much! I ran the self clean after Thanksgiving and now, nothing. It's gonna be a pain in the ass getting the oven out but I think this is something I can do myself... assuming I can get the oven out from under the granite slab in our island. What the f**k did we do before KZbin?

Excellent video - thanks for posting. I replaced the cold water inlet valve on a GWL11 washer (early 2000s, like yours). I had to move the plastic tank assembly below the inlet valves to remove the old part. This just involved removing the screw holding the motor controller and moving it out of the way to move out the tank assembly by an inch or so. Other than that, followed your video and it all seems to work. BTW...the cold water water valve was much more expensive than the hot on most part websites - I found one on ebay that was much cheaper and will keep my fingers crossed.

We ran washer cleaner in our F&P today, as we have done bi-monthly, when we washed some heavy blankets they came out with black mold all over them. So, I still had to take the tub out and clean it.

Hmmm... it's supposed to be just hand-tight, and it's difficult to access with conventional wrenches/pliers/etc., so I don't know what kind of tool you could use to loosen it :-(
