This is a prime example of subjectivity. Us guys who grew up on anything before the PG era for the most part hated Cena. He wasn’t edgy like the Stone Colds or the Rocks etc. At the time he style was compared to a reminiscent golden age of wrestling and I agree. I’m nostalgic about the golden age and I’m not surprised that the kids who grew up in Cena’s prime are nostalgic about that, too. Wrestling is what you make of it, so for you Cena might epitomize that idea, whereas for someone else it might be Sting etc.
