what a women eh! she wanted to entertain and she made it happen with her own blood sweat and tears she's such a inspiration even when people doubted her singing she still carried on and here she is been the first women to receive the Icon award with over 75 million records sold behind her! well deserved people might not like her craft but she is the true definition of a Super star she's living proof anyone can achieve what there heart desires and dedication and focus pays off! congratulations Jennifer couldn't be any one that deserves it more than you 25 years in the business and your still a Megastar that inspires so many people. you really are the best in the biz your the blueprint that so many follow today you wouldn't be put in a box you broke the barriers and just smashed them your kids must be so proud to have a mother like you.

A beautiful speech that touched my heart in every way possible... Jennifer Lopez is such and inspiration and is a true triple threat superstar who Is the definition of a international superstar but always stays true to who she is.

All her previous albums are flopped...wish she get back to her sound just like THIS IS ME...THEN-REBIRTH albums thats the best of her best...too bad A.K.A did not sales good and she did not released "LET IT BE ME" such a great song of the album.

Rain Fuentabella out of 8 studio albums only 1 actually bombed her last 1 AKA she has 5 back 2 back multiple platinum albums in the US (6 if her Spanish album was certified it's eligible for multiple Latin platinum in the US) and she's only had 2 albums out of 10 that have sold less then 1 million minimum world wide! the difference with Jennifer is she's never been a touring artist so her sales are actually impressive for some one that's never toured apart from once for 6 months 12 years into her career! she's sold over 35 million albums and over 40 million singles and the majority of her sales are physical before the digital age! when all's said and done she will have sold over 100 million records she's around 80+ million now.

i can't believe that someone can like this woman she is horrible! Her voice is horrible she can't sing at all with no auto-tune and she only shake her ass! Beyonce at least can sing!

she can sing, you can't compare her to beyonce because they are so different. she has a special voice and thats what her fans like . if you don't like her, it doesn't mean that she can't sing. it's obviously she's an artist. she has been singing since 1999... i guess she has been doing it well....

I always noticed that every artist that will receive an award when they do the speech it's like they run out of breath... They didn't run to the stage.. They just walk in to that stage. Maybe they're nervous? Haha

John De Leon I think it's because she's overwhelmed she's the very first Female artist that billboard chose to give the Icon award to out of so many iconic females like Madonna, Whitney, mariah, Celine, Aretha Franklin etc they chose Jennifer! and it's billboard so it's not some little music award it's a huge honour shame the Grammies pay her dust she's released some timeless classics and some of the biggest hits last decade and this decade!
