Yeah, they sort of homage it in Rebirth because healing items will damage the Gi if you use them on them, but not as much the insta-kill like in the original.

In BG3, hags are considered fey creatures. When they're slain, they return to the Feywild plane to regenerate. Auntie Ethel survives BG3 regardless of your choices.

So the spore gimmick (destroy them and her regeneration stops) is just a BG3 thing? I wish the KO mechanic was used more. I KO'd the Grisly, the owner, before fighting Ethel, so they'd wake up when I killed her, but the game considered them dead.

@@paufranco8960 They might've fixed that recently, but I'm uncertain if the patch note only referred to her pawns in ACT 1 or also ACT 3. It just said something like "they now stay around after a long rest". I doubt they'd let us knock the ones in ACT 1 and not ACT 3 intentionally, at least.

​@ZackForester can you find me the page reference for this in one of the D&D books? I know it's true of Fiends and Celestials from the Outer Planes, maybe Elementals but I think they would just return to their elemental bits, but I'm pretty sure Feywild and Shadowfell denizens simply die unless they have fancy Mushroom rituals like Auntie Ethel here. I'd be interested in reading about that not being the case though.

Ooooh, that makes sense. I interacted with her on my second playthrough (which is back on Act 2) but I think I made a solid choice to just leave her alone in this game.

It's a matter of timing. I would recommend practing getting a parry from normal attacks first, try and track when an attack ACTUALLY hits (not when it seems to, but actually connects) and then apply this to the Raging Fist. It Ultimately does come down to reflexes. Simply because I know how to do it, I can't pull it off every time, and usually I can only do it after I've done a normal parry several times. Ultimately, it's for fun, and a little too tricky to be relied on, but it's very cool when you pull it off 😁

I also have the same issue. In the challenge mode I can do it no problem. But in the actual overworks gameplay I only get 10 hits no matter how fast I mash the button.

@@CMast3r I figured it out. I had it set to my R2+Triangle but my Switch Eikon button was also Triangle. So I was just cycling Eikons when I mash. If I set Raging Fists to R2+Square then mashing works.

@nirvDJZ Oh interesting! I always had mine set to Square from the start so I didn't even know this could be an issue! Glad you figured it out.
