Coming back to this just to see which skins are figures again

$20+ a figure. Less then 10mins of usage and the o-ring is ruined and a joint on a 2nd figure is loose after light handling. HARD PASS

I didn't grow up in the 80's and while I was a fan of the cartoony aesthetic of ReAction figures and the 1/18 scale (Macdowin Jazwares Fortnite reviews were what got me into it), the 5POA put me off when they were more expensive than Jazware's and Hasbro's similar offerings. However, these figures were really interesting to me as they had articulation and I never really had any O ring figures before. I just got in my Snake Eyes and Cobra Commander from Target. Some things I noticed right away were the hands, as they are the same material as the rest of the figure I feel afraid they may break if I put the weapons in their hands incorrectly. I also never realized until now how much I took ankle joints for granted. Furthermore, I'm not sure if I like the O Rings themselves. The hip and torso articulation feels kind of gummy and sometimes the parts seem to want to "rubber band" into a different position when I move them. Overall I think they're pretty great, though the Circle Week discount definitely helped my judgement. Though, considering how much actual vintage GI Joe figures can go for nowadays this might not be that bad. I hope they make Vipers and Steel Brigades this way eventually!

I’m pretty forgiving of the super seven figures as far as the oversimplified designs because they’re supposed to be either from the cartoon or the comic.

There's most likely a couple of reasons for the smoothness. 1. Based on the cartoon = simpler designs 2. Computer designed sculpts vs wood/wax carvings done by hand I still love em because they give o-ring characters that never would've been made otherwise if for nothing else.

Fantastic review! Unfortunately, you confirmed many of my concerns about these figures. I kind of hate 5 POA and I grew up on Star Wars figures. Maybe it was the fact that I got a Micronauts Space Glider before I got any SW figures that made me appreciate the higher articulation. Don't get me wrong, I loved my Star Wars figs, but very much preferred the articulation on the Micronauts, Metal Men, Buck Rogers and Black Hole figures. A little later, when the first of the small scale GI Joes came out, I was blown away. While O-rings don't grab me by the nostalgia very hard these days, 5 POA does so even less and I am sad to see so much of it in this scale.

Cobra commander blends in a lot better in a vintage display than covergirl, still not great though :/

Solid review. It feels like Super7 might have rushed these out, but when you look at the timeline it seems like they had a lot time to get these to market. Did you notice the May2024 date printed on the back of the card? The loose joints, paint chipping, backpack holes, swivel neck, tight o-ring, stiff hands all seem disappointing especially when you have newcomer line like Delta-17 who really did a wonderful job. Hopefully these sell well for the holidays and Super7 learns from their mistakes and improves with future waves. I'm still happy we got them and looking forward to the vehicles and next wave in the Spring. For a character called Cover Girl, who is supposed to be a former model, why does she constantly have one of the ugliest faces of all the G.I. Joe females. Going back to the original figure all the way to classified she looks awful. Yes, she's one of my favorite female characters too. oh, I'd like to think I'm a superstar ;)

The designs remind me of how the Turtles look in Fortnite. I don't buy much 1/18th scale stuff, but I'm buying these figures.

The nunchucks go in the chain on the license plate in his shell, haha. I like their scale.. they should be a little shorter in some regards. They’re not a classic look but they remind me a LOT of the 2003 Tmnt only stylized up. Mine will be here in a few weeks. Can’t wait!

How does it look without the "web gear" straps on him? Is the sculpt below it fine? Does it look good without it?

First off, hang the nunchucks off of the chain on his shell. Man! I wish I could send you pics because I have each turtle on the manhole stand along with their boards. I have their weapons in their storage areas, and they're wielding the motion weapons. They're back to back, with the boars making a cross/"x" behind them.also, I don't know if you noticed, but each turtle has a different expression. I've already pre-ordered Bebop, Rocksteafy, Shredder, and the foot soldiers. Now, all we need is Splinter, April, and Casey for a decent collection.

I got Donny but glad I only got 1 turtle. My box came crushed and the figure smelled like car parts or engine oil out of the box lol.

I'm new to this brand and want to collect this line. However, it appears Snake Eyes is no longer available? Is there a plan to re-release? I'm not going to buy these figures if I can't have Snake Eyes in the collection. Any info to give?

These and the Fury/Rage Toys line are my favorite turtles. I love how much detail they pack into their scales. Maybe I just like small things but I love their scale.

I just love these figures. Slowly army building now. The red Okami is super awesome. I want to buy more of them. They feel super awesome and the detailing is fantastic but if you need new t bars they will send them to you since the only thing was that the first wave has a way too large t bar for the legs so they don’t bend as great just cause of that but once you switch out the t bar then they will sit nice after.

Don't listen, Hasbro. Now that you've gotten much better at separate glasses, please don't mold them on unless absolutely necessary.
