I think Irish singers should be banned from doing this song ! Ok that's a tongue in cheek remark , but every version of this song i hear from the Emerald Isle seem to turn it into a lightweight ballad . The song has been covered by country rock bands and they to my ears give the number a impetus which suits it very well. whereas i find this, to be polite, not to my taste and a disappointment.
