It’s great that it runs as if they’ve gone badly wrong it can quite often be the reason why a lot of car owners leave them abandoned or parked up forever..

My late Dad always had estate cars and had two Granada Estates, absolutely superb cars. The one you have has got a gorgeous leather interior so I hope you invest in getting that perfect again!

For me, it’s all about the beautiful interior on that model.

Check the radiator before driving/running the car. I have broken 2 Autogearboxes because the radiator leaked water to the gearbox cooling side and mixed with oil. Hard lessons.. Now running a external cooler for trans. :)

While its running id strobe light it see if timings on par as if losen distributor you be able to advance or retard she was quite to be fair and few gentle runs be good to circulate oil round gearbox

Nice to see it running again, years ago I had a 2.3L Banana, loved it, that classic three box shape. I t was very comfortable, fun to drive but it drank fuel!

That looked stunning fair play going down the road and coming back🤩🤩 and its a Ghia X executive !!! Sounded brill.... the running issues will be fuel pressure not right.....id check the delivery pressure from the pump to engine bay....from memory its about 6 bar... (90 psi)... accumulator might to be holding the pressure steady...and lastly...if all that checks out.. the metering head may need a refurb... the lifting pin in the distributor head might be seized.

Most likely issues will be inside the tank with corrosion, depending how the vehicle has been stored, and how much fuel in the tank.

Mfi needs to pull a vacuum to work so disconnecing inlet it won't start.

Great work once again, as it’s cutting out when you put it in gear, I would check the vacuum from the inlet manifold to the gearbox. As it’s an auto, do not rev it above 3000rpm when stationary, doesn’t do the clutches any good. Next video, can you align the spotlights pretty please, 😀😀😀😀👍👍👍 When it’s up and running, you’ll really enjoy the Granada, such a comfortable and luxurious car, goes really well too! Should have never sold mine…😔😔

Lovely MK2, had a dark blue saloon and a estate in the 90''s . Did not realise they were so interesting for thieves, I always thought they liked cars like Xr3s to steal not the granddad Ford ;-)

Fantastic car,but the only downfall is the auto gearbox,if possible change to manual,ps if I were you I would install a pull up post outside the the garage door because that car is a gem,good luck mate👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧

I must admit i love a winter ride if it’s sunny..And they look perfect for my Tuono..think I will invest in a pair.. I have heated gloves, but to be honest they don’t last long, the battery’s seen better days now, and new batteries are around the same price as grips..👍🏻👍🏻

Look for a cut out switch in the glove box or hidden low on the dash, they're usually wired to the coil.

Always wished we would have got these down in NZ, the old Falcon was cool, but the Granada was cooler . . . go the TRX's my old e23 735i nearly bankrupted me the first time I put a set of them on it !! Looking forward to the progress . . . Cheers

I drove both Mk1 and Mk2 Granadas but never owned one. I went to buy a Sapphire as I drove into the street, it drove out, too late! I had an injection Capri, Caspian Blue, and wanted a Granada injection, but couldn't find one. The one with the Recaro seats and white alloys.

You need the rear spoiler a set of mud flaps and the sun roof protecter. Even as is now she looks a BEAUTY..... Keep up the good work....

Nice Executive. Being injection, and with trip computer, the sender is quite special. It actually just has the float and a load of wiring on it. I have a feeling there is no actual fuel outlet connection to it (its crimped and brazed closed) , as that is instead out the bottom of the tank direct to the fuel filter and pump.
