@@mikemoffatt6610 thank you! I sold it unfortunately. It was a monster. When I made that recording ,it had an extra light set of strings! Truss rod,yes.

@greekflatpicker I might be checking out a '43 with maple-v neck and spruce top/mahogany sides. Have you noticed anything about the non-truss rod Banners in terms of sound/ responsiveness / volume? I was just wondering what the effect of having no truss rod has on these old Banners and have never gotten to compare multiple guitars.

I have to add....its a solid one piece mahogany neck on the guitar I'm going to check out. A big solid wood neck without a truss rod surely has to do something to the transferance of sound to the body of the guitar I would think 🤔

@@CBeyerPhotography I like them a lot . They seem to have a fuller ,more intense sound than dreadnoughts. When I play alone or as a duo I always play 12 fret guitars. When I play with a band,I use dreadnoughts. Sorry no website ,just Facebook. Thanks

@greekflatpicker that is what I think I’m hearing as well. Played a 1931 000-18 recently and I can’t get it out of my head. This one had some side repairs on the treble side lower bout, replaced bridge, everything else intact original and really good shape. It was expensive 😪 but not sure how to determine what a good price is or a bad price. Afraid to let it get away. Your reply reinforced my observation. I only play alone. Beautiful playing by the way.
