Borough Market is a victim of its own success - it gets very crowded, especially in holiday periods. But the food, whether ready to eat or to take home, is amazingly good although it might trash your wallet. You can buy great food and wines there, and just across the street at the back is a fantastic cheese shop - I cannot remember its name but somebody will surely tack it on below. I should say bad things about the market in an effort to reduce visitor numbers, but to do so would be unfair and a lie.

Indian food usually has rice separate as there are usually at least 2 choices. The chicken has been marinated which makes it tikka, you can have tikka korma for example. The colouring in the rice may from saffron and turmeric but it's often just coloured. Try Bawarchi in Anniesland for authentic non coloured rice and sauces

Just found your channel. As a Cardiff born and bred guy I'm really pleased you wandered off the beaten track and found the market. Somehow it has survived against all of the overcomecialisation of the high Street. All the storeholders are characters. I regularly wander though there. It hasn't changed much. I used to buy loads of stuff there as a child, teenager, and adult. I'm 58 now. Great breakfast there :) Happy travels. Keep safe, be happy, and cherish each other. Hwyl!! ::)

The Necropolis, or the gravie as we called it, holds a very special place in my heart, but not for the reason you'd expect, I spent my entire childhood playing in it 😀 The tenement where I grew up (8 Firpark Terrace) had it's gable end built on top of the boundary wall, it was at the opposite of Tennants brewery from where you were standing at 7:00. There used to be a small forest there which was fantastic for playing in, we had a massive rope swing right next to the wall, we had a rope death slide, we used to boil eggs in the old flower urns from the dump, played hide'n'seek etc. That was until a friend decided to set fire to the bushes which in turn set the ground under the forested part on fire, it must've had a lot of combustible material dumped there, it killed off most the trees 👎
