Good for her. Shame on you for not letting your kid learn on your guitar and making her have to buy her own. You own a Taylor and you dont even get your kid a guitar. Taylor's are overpriced anyways . You pay 2/3 of the cost for the name. And they usually sound brittle.

@cartoonified1084 It's kind of subjective. This was after the cease and desist. Order that's why the head stock isn't like the martin. I did more research after this. This definitely wasn't the guitar that caused the issue

This was a rescue guitar. I buy them cheap, then do nice refurbishment... nut , saddle, strings.... neck adjust.... whatever they need. I have a ton of different guitars I've cone across on my channel :) it's fun. Buy em for around 40.. put about an hour or 2 tops , and 15 bucks worth of Amazon supplies.. and sell em to happy campers for 100 . Usually play better then when new

I found mine for free in a junk pile. Took it home, restrung it. Cleaned it up a lil. And gave it a brand new life. Best thing I ever did, still have the guitar and still plays great

SD is likely a slope dread. This was not that.. standard dread. I didn't measure neck width. So, either 1 11/16 or 1 3/4. There is no such thing as a 'standard' neck size . Bass end ? It was a good sounding guitar. Growl ? Subjective. What's 'normal' ?

How and why would they sell a $200 guitar for $9? Im a beginner and found my guitar center selling a used great condition fd01s for $115

Not a fan of Santa Cruz strings. I pretty much only put Daddario Nickel Bronze on guitars I keep and and play

@@davekguitars I didn't intentionally buy them to put on that guitar. I was at a promotion and got them . But it turned out nice. I'm old. I don't think anybody makes those old fashioned great sounding strings anymore..

So really they weren't $25 strings.They were zero dollor since you've got them for free. They're definitely not worth twenty five dollars

@@davekguitars no, I paid 17 dollars for 25 Dollar dollar strings. And if you're being a bitch, they sounded twice as good as your guitar does. Nyah!!! 🤑🤑 I'll Make a video this week and show you. But I have a tendency to be nice. Not a troublemaker with a chip on his shoulder.

@@davekguitars - Working off of your theory, anyone finding a vintage Martin at a garage sale for $50 could include it in an acoustic shoot-out of sub $100 guitars... Brian never said that he put $25.00 into the guitar. The strings ARE $25.00 strings (opinions aside), despite what Brian paid for them.

Not new. I rescued it from GOODWILL..and did a nice setup including bone nut and saddle. I think i paid about 40 bucks and put 20 in it and sold it for about 100. :)

This is actually from their Oxnard California factory.. it's a 2018. I had a Canadian Larrivee 2011 Dreadnought but I sold it for this one as the OMV has a more balanced tone and is more comfortable to play. I am from the US :) I am a Larrivee fan boy though. I'm glad you like it. I actually play out of my guitar with a LR BAGGS LYRIC into my pedalboard then straight into laptop :)

Actually. Just realized.. this is thru my tonewood amp into looper and PA speaker. Recorded via external condenser mic for smart phone

I agree. It didn't come close to my Larrivee OMV-40 , but it is an awesome lower budget choice
