@@tsol00616 it was a festival about our native birds & what’s being done to try to keep them from gng extinct. We lost 7 to extinction last year & there’s 2-3 more that they feel may not last more than a year. 😢

We didn't see any, but there are nests in the cracks & u can see all the owl poop on some sections. Woulda been cool to see some tho. I'd definitely go back if we're in the area again (if it's cooler).

It's cool that you shot this on what I believe to be an Insta 360! It really gives it a different perspective, especially in the slot Canyon! This turned out really nice! I'm glad you guys had an awesome hike!

Did you know Michelle and I tried to find Likeke from the Pali in 2000? This was before directions were available on youtube and the Internet. We decided not to get lost 😄 and turned around.

Same thing happened to me when I first tried finding this. We went from the lookout, made it to the correct route, but walked right by the junction to the falls & straight to the golf course. Turned back & went home, not realizing we were just minutes from the falls. Thanks to you, I've learned to trail find, problem solve hiking issues, & build character!!

Mahalo! Yeah it was a little chilly & rainy when we went. Not sure what the weather is like in august, but u can get a gauge by checking out weather as your trip nears. There is water at all the campsites so that’s something you don’t have to lug in for however many days you’ll be staying. I’d still treat the water tho. Try check out “The HI Escapade” channel. She has more “prep” info from our trip that might be helpful. Hope u have a blast!

I'm amazed at how smart bears are. Walking on the side of the road against traffic. I seen videos of bears picking up fallen orange cones on the side of the road and propping it back up
