Imagine Hollywood trying to remake this show ? Impossible. Nobody could ever fill Basil role.

Seriously, this is the best sitcom ever made, and this is nothing compared to what the sitcoms are made today.

cliche: an expression, idea, or action that has been overused to the point of seeming worn out, stale, ineffective, or meaningless. The prevalent communication tool of YT users, who probably believe they have said something extremely original or never heard before.

I was a manager manager of a restaurant for 30 years. I’ve got to admit by the last year. I worked there I was a lot like this guy the I loved the the restaurant I just hated and despised the customers and a fair number of the staff too who seem to think it was somehow my fault that most of the customers Were creepy frighteningly, ugly, Stinking, Rude degenerates and alcoholics stupid mean potentially violent drunks while the corporation that owned the restaurant was mostly only concerned about was that the the lying thieving Creepy, frighteningly, ugly stupid stinking degenerate potentially violent alcoholic, drunks paid for their drinks and they were happy enough to Come back soon to give us more of their sweaty nasty bad smelling money

I simply bought into the notion that Manuel was actually Spanish. Via Wikipedia, I discovered that in fact his name was Andrew Sachs (1930-2016) and was born in Berlin. His father was Jewish and the family moved to Britain in 1938 to escape the Nazis.
