First hand was very interesting for a checked down pot. Its a good example of why protecting your checking range is important in GTO, The solver can bluff this river with K9 because it has checked enough value on flop & turn. humans are not protected enough on the river to bluff K9

Great video how do you feel about the ante games on GG do you think there will be more money to make because they’re less studied?

I've not played in them but I've seen a few hands that have gone down in those games. There's definitely lots of fun dynamics with pre flop being very different and then lots of deep stacked stuff post. Reminds me more of a live environment in a way. Whether there are bigger WR's there remains to be seen, I think!

In the K9 hand. Hands like aq/aj bet small here on the river as like a merged value bet, so if the guy is call happy with his aq/aj's, then a block size is great with AK on this river. If you think they're never folding the aq, aj, even to a bigger bet... then you were probably right in giving up. Here's the big balls exploit... if you think with aq/aj to a small size, and a 70% size... and has an abundance of these hands... but fold those hands to a shove size... then shove is the play

Shove is definitely a fun option and one that I think could be very good in reality, especially if we decide to shove our Tx and put more value into this line in general 😎
@jeegee-cx7ss
@jeegee-cx7ss 8 сағат бұрын
@@pkrelmo Exploitatively, would it not make more sense to keep Tx in the 70% size because we agree that they call too often vs that size, and overfold vs the shove?

Awesome video! Just a quick suggestion, would be nice if you use the nodelocking feature in your videos to explain how the strategies shift. For instance, in the KK hand, the audience would be able to see (as you described verbally) how the strategies shift from jam to fold if you nodelock away the bluffs in the block sizing and villain pure calls every set to a jam :) Both you and kruzer are awesome at articulating your thought processes, keep up the good work!

Absolutely great content, after you finish this type of videos with this emphasis in the red line or playing protected etc. You could remake it in a review style because you can show more examples of the play you are trying to teach. But these kinds of videos are great anyway, like raw videos, insta comments, direct to the point, no cuts or only showing when you play well. 💯💯💯

@@pkrelmo I've continuously refined my game through years of experience and learning. One critical insight I've gained is that always using the same bet size on the flop is a flawed strategy. Successful poker requires adapting your bet sizing based on various factors to maximize value and minimize risk. When you play live against medium-strong opponents, you might default to using the same bet size on the flop. However, to truly excel in poker, you need to tailor your bet size to the situation at hand. For instance, if a player is likely to call more often, you should consider betting higher to extract maximum value from their weaker hands. Consider a flop containing an ace when you hold an ace. Typically, there's no reason to bet big in this scenario because the risk of being outdrawn is relatively low. Instead, betting around half the pot allows you to extract value from opponents holding second pair or weaker hands. These players may call your smaller bet on the flop and again on the turn, providing you with substantial profit without pushing them out of the pot. On different flop textures, you might need to adjust your bet size to protect your hand. For example, on a draw-heavy board, increasing your bet size can prevent opponents from seeing cheap cards that could complete their draws. This strategy reduces the likelihood of being outdrawn and ensures you're adequately compensated for the risk you're taking. In summary, every hand is unique, and using the same bet size across the board can cause you to miss out on significant value. Factors such as board texture, opponent tendencies, and your hand strength should dictate your bet size and frequency. By adjusting your strategy to these elements, you can enhance your overall performance and consistently make the most profitable decisions at the table.

@@vsandenyeah so I think you’ve misunderstood what I mean by one size. I am adjusting this based on textures, opponents and all that good stuff, I’m simply just not using multiple bet sizes on the same board. So if it’s A73r BTN v BB SRP, I’ll use 25% only. Not 25% and 100%. If it’s Q93tt in the same spot then I’ll play 100% only. Some people use multiple bet sizes on the flop and turn and that’s what I was describing here ♥️

Loving these videos man, Keep it up. ~43 min w22 otr -- If our boats are always jamming river and then we use a smaller sizing for hands like AK/AJ, are we often folding to a c jam with those? This is what always complicates things for me on river when using multiple bet sizes, where the smaller size is strong, but not nutted. I feel like if opponent is aware boats jam pure and then a bunch of other stuff goes into smaller size, he can turn a bunch of stuff into bluff against the smaller size?
@pkrelmo
@pkrelmo 5 күн бұрын
He can do this but then you can definitely just click call anyway 😂 Think if we're overly concerned then just ensure you mix hands like 22 on your RNG for the smaller size as well.

Do you think the Q6dd diamond villain line would make sense with KQ/KJ. As the line is so incoherent seems like it could perform quite well especially as those hands aren’t worth 3 streets?
@pkrelmo
@pkrelmo 5 күн бұрын
Think those hands just want to barrel the turn to be honest. AK on the other hand would make sense checking turn (KQ/KJ can improve to straights, AK can't and they're basically the same hand). The river size depends how he perceives me and how often I'm going to x/r. It would be a torch to do this sizing if I play well as I'll just x/r him to the moon with boats on the river (which I'd like to think I would do).

Hi Simon - you talk about 100/200 players overfolding to 4bs and therefore being exploitable. How do you think players should balance this against the pool, the majority of which will under 4b themselves?
@pkrelmo
@pkrelmo 6 күн бұрын
It depends on where you get 4b from. People are going to under 4b EP v BB but they aren't necessarily CO v BTN. So I'd overfold to the former but call "optimally" vs the latter.
