"campers". I always have to laugh at people who use the therm "camper" as a slur to describe people who pick a sniper class in a game and play that class how it's meant to be played. You know....snipers/recons ect, name it as you want are not classes you should play in a rambo style. But good job there. This is how you should play against snipers.

I would argue that the word camper is used against players that normally hide/sit far away from the objective or in an area that has no strategical value for your team. Most of the time you see players do this with a recon/sniper type of class so hence they just generalize that term for anyone far from an objective with a sniper. Yes the class of a sniper should be played at range but that does not justify sitting on the otherside of the map to get a few handful of kills.

You know how me and my buddies play recon? We get to the other end of the map right near the opponent's base. Plant several spawn beacons. We mostly carry carbines with silencers, if the Objective is mostly urban CQB we go loud with shotguns and a few of us would bring TUGs to detect any incoming enemies, either that or C4 to deal with incoming vehicles. Even the one who plays with a sniper rifle will switch to the side iron sight. The enemy is always forced to take the objective closest to their home base, sometimes 2-3 squads had to pull back just to get rid of us, resulting in them losing at the front. Oppose to just camping far from objectives and trying to get kills, this way of playing recon actually wins games, but i'm not saying this is the only way to play sniper/recon, i mean one can continue just sniping from a distance and losing all objectives eventually, usually i love it when the opponent's side have majority of such players.
