If you prefer to reach for the bars and you're ok with bending over to reach the bars, then why the heck did you install up and back risers??? That made no sense.

Just something I was new to compared to sportbikes. I find if you are out of shape and get on a different bike you will have some pain in shoulders and arms which doesnt necessarily mean you need new bars.

I changed my mirrors, ditched the screen. Im only 174cm, no screen suits me best ( up to 135km/hr depends on direction of wind). Go naked

Hi! Thanks for the hack, it worked almost well. Almost, because when ABS turned off, the check engine light turned on and FI error displayed. Did you experienced something like this? May I did something wrong? I have a 2018 DL 650 XT.

I dont recall but since my off road excursions on the 650 I learned the hard way that the rake is incorrect and nose dives the bike in dirt. so if you do a lot of off road look elsewhere.

Good morning, I am considering getting a 650 and I am 6.4. Do you have trouble with your right foot resting on the exhaust? I have size 13 feet.
@CPUspeed
@CPUspeed 6 ай бұрын
yes slightly. but you should nix the 650 and get the 800 which is a little bigger.

Hi, when you fit lowering brackets do you have to do anything to the gear lever or brake lever? Is this a non-invasive option?
@CPUspeed
@CPUspeed 6 ай бұрын
you shouldnt be afraid of setting your brake and gear lever. learn how. its something you normally do to fit the bike to yourself. but yes lowering kit you need to adjust the levers.

Hey CPUspeed what do you think of the MT-10's ergo? I am 6'1" with 33" inseam and my CB650R is plain horrible to sit on. I mean, thing is literally designed for Japanese ppl with average height of 170cm. You're even taller than me and I don't see you complaining about the Mt-10 ergo a lot.
@CPUspeed
@CPUspeed 6 ай бұрын
yes the mt10 has the best footpeg to seat dimensions than any naked bike. it is the tall guys naked bike, and its fast, and its reliable too.

I opted for the 650. I'm 60 years old and I've been riding motorcycles since I was 18. I've never seen any other motorcycle with such a satisfaction rating as the v,-strom .650. Definitely one of the best bikes ever made.

I notice a lot of people being happier with the 650. The lighter weight while being highway capable seems to be a very nice balance.

TC and ABS are totally unnecessary if you learn to ride properly on these bikes. The 650 strom doesn't have enough power to warrant either. Nice video. If love to switch off abs totally do I can put a proper rear disc on it.

Thanks for the review! I'm about to choose my first bike of this kind. I have found a vstrom 1000 from 2014 and a dl650 from 2009 and they are different but both beautiful. The price for the 1000 is so alluring that I think I'll go for it because I always do long trips with my girlfriend. I'm 5'.6" and I'm a little worried for the height. But not too much. What do you think? I'm not an off-road rider. Thanks guys

Sounds like you're very practical, as am I. I'm 60 years old and not in the best shape. I need another hip replacement really bad. I enjoy variety very much. I have a vino scooter 125, a Duke 390, a 1995 Yamaha YZF600R, 650 V Strom, a Valosia 805, a CBR1000RR, a ZX14R, a Voyager 1200, and a Concours 1000 that I'm trying to sell. I'm very interested in the Honda Hornet and or the the GSX 8S.

Hi Interested to check out the accessories you have fitted to your Strom. I own a 2019 DL650A Strom, not the XT. Last of the alloy wheel models (in Australia). I wish to fit a sidestand foot as you have, (I had ordered a SW Motech one), but advise says you should NOT fit one with a centrestand. The problem apparently in that if you have the sidestand up, and the bike on the centrestand. When you push off the stand, the stand fouls on the larger sidestand foot, causing the centrestand to be held low. The stand can touchdown easily upon cornering. Dangerous. Have you any experience with this problem? Regards, Ray.
