Can you use hand mallets? I have really bad arthritis on my hands.
@DavidUrbanHandpan23 сағат бұрын
It will go out of tune quicker. Unless you are very careful with the power of the hits. I was told by makers not to use those

@DavidUrbanHandpan11 күн бұрын
Thank you! And to clarify, lesson 6 is the 3rd lesson on rudents, so lesson 4, and 5 are the “rudiments part 1 and 2”

Can you use sticks on the pads?
@DavidUrbanHandpan2 ай бұрын
You can, but I"m not sure if the manufacturer would recommend it long term. There are pad sets out there made for sticks.

Hey David … It’s been a year …. Curious to know how it sounds now…. I could hear a bit of a bite on two notes, but for that price, overall, it sounded darn good. But we both also know that any company is going to send one of their most “in tune pans” they can find because they know it’s going to be reviewed and heard by many. The proven problem with a lot of the mass produced China (or like) pans, is the stability issue….. they just don’t stay in tune and tuners don’t particularly want to retune them. Because of how they’re built, they can’t guarantee the retune will last. But dude …. Gotta say …you made this one sound good!! Nice playing! How about an update now? 🤗🛸🎶🦋

Could you recommend a handpan for a beginner just starting out please?
@DavidUrbanHandpan7 ай бұрын
I wouldn't say there is a beginner handpan or advanced. Just a matter of how much you want to invest. obviously a cheaper, new pan is a good idea (instead of buying a used one, since you don't know what to look for with used pans yet). I would gladly recommend a basic scale like a D kurd from one of the partner makes that I've worked with (Asteman or MagInstruments).

Thanks for people curious about HPD20. You play it really well. I bought it recently, I much prefer it over HPD15. But who on earth made those useless kits boring to edit ? Who selected basic notes/scales ? I will have to find samples for the Hand Pan : you can't select a scale freely, other notes resonating in original scale. Roland : good technology sometimes, very bad musical / sound design taste most of the time... Any editor ?

Szia Dávid! Látom, hogy kb 6 hónapos ez a videó. Megvan még ez a handpan? Szoktad használni? Arra lennék kíváncsi, hogy hosszabb távon mi a tapasztalatod vele? Mennyire tartja meg a hangolást? Bármi negatív változás esetleg? Köszi
