That graco sprayer is awesome but I'll tell you what. I bought a finish max super paint sprayer by homeright for 40 bucks on Ebay and it paints better then my $400 HVLP gun. So if you want to paint some cabinets yourself like a pro you don't have to spend 900 bucks on a sprayer

when you use the blue guard, do you also have to change the One Seal ? The documentations on Graco sites distinguish between the One Seal for bleu and orange guards.

I always pinch 4 holes in the groove of the can the lids sits in, this drains the paint as im using it out of the can and when i put the lid back on all of the paint is forced back into the can

can i use a 2 tip with a graco 360 variable speed sprayer instead

Just used the SW Emerald urethane for an entertainment center, question is, there are areas where it feels rough; if you want your project to have a completely smooth finish, do you sand after your final coat of paint? If so, do you use sandpaper or steel wool, any suggestions?

212 is a lot of material special on face of the cabinets.

It seems like you’re constantly doing something with the tip while spraying. Is there some adjustment you’re making to the tip while spraying?

Just some sound warnings and things to be aware of. The extreme bond primer is water based and not suited for priming stained and or lacquered cabinets which would be most peoples existing cabinets. This isn’t an opinion or the way I choose to do it this is painting 101

Great job! What sheen is that paint? Semi gloss or Satin? I am about to do my kitchen cabinets and just figured I would use semi gloss for the easier cleanup and durability, but some painter friends are telling me that everyone uses satin now, even in kitchens. Apparently some people don't like the higher gloss sheen these days, and satin is the new goto kitchen sheen. I still feel like I should go with a semi gloss for the better smooth feel and durability/cleanup. However, given the amount of work involved and the aforementioned advice, I am second guessing my decision, especially since I might be selling the house in the near future. So I am also looking for additional opinions/advice thanks.

This is excellent! I'm beyond disgusted to say that Graco has done a MISERABLE job of explaining that those low-pressure tips can be used with the ProX17, as long as you purchase the appropriate tip guard. Their manual says nothing...their videos explain in reasonable detail what the various tips for for, but they say nothing about being able to use them on the various machines, as long as you have the appropriate tip guard. Graco, as far as I can tell at this point, makes a quality product. But, nut-less monkies have better communication skills that that company. So, thank you for explaining in less than 10sec what Graco failed to do with 3 videos, and an entire manual.

good job buddy, that Extreme Bond primer it’s amazing, and don’t mention it the Emerald paint 👍

using a airless sprayer you always need a reservoir of paint once the bucket or can gets low it wont spray any more even though the hose and pump are still full of paint and it quite a bit of paint. You have to push through with water or another gallon of paint. you can only use about 2 thirds of a gallon the rest cant be sprayed without pushing it with more liquid. I just returned my X5 for that reason.

Good video. Aren't you getting a lot of overspray using that airless sprayer ( even though your using a fine finish tip) in your garage? I know you don't have alot of things in there ( I wish mine was that clean. Lol.)..but still you have cabinets etc..thanks !

fflp 208 tip is to small ? way needs just smaller tip

Plus the seat for the FFLP tips are different from a blue rack x tip make sure you change the tip seat to suit your tip and if you have a gun filter for cabinet spraying you will need a red 150 mesh filter in your gun otherwise you will have stoppages every minute

Outstanding video series. If my wife sees these videos, I know what I’m going to be doing over the next month… I’m not trying to play safety police - honest question. I noticed you don’t wear respirator when spray painting. Especially indoors, have you never had an issue with that?

I always thought , the screws wasn’t secure but figured , must be a reason why they design it that way .. securing it would be better

.013 to .017 on the can, you used 0.12 FF tip. Is that preferable? Was it due to lower pressure and FF tip or would a 214 be ok?

just a fyi your spray guard and tip should be able to be swapped from Both of you sprayers. 7/8" is universal for MOST spray guards and accessories
