@JacksonMeyer8 күн бұрын
That is a crazy question because they are all over Oregon! If you made a perfect route and optimized it… it might take you 5 days to see them all? Romona & tamanawas is a day, tunnel falls is a day, Tumalo, white river falls & Marion is a big day. Salt creek, Abiqua & tokatee falls is a big day and then Multnomah + others is a good day.

Excellent views of the inlets and coastal waters. Other than that to expensive and crowded. Better arrive with plenty of money. Surcharges are through the roof. I grew up along the Oregon coast and will not return. The ambiance and small town is history gone. A majority of the older classical homes are gone and it has become a tourist trap. And total commercial.
@JacksonMeyer12 күн бұрын
hmmm... I suppose you are entitled to your own opinion, but this isn't my mindset or experience at all. I agree many towns are crowded... but the human population is growing and not slowing down so that's to be expected. I don't know how you grow up somewhere so beautiful and claim that you "will not return". That's makes me sad, I hope you can muster the courage to return.The ambiance has waned in many areas, but in no way would I call any of the Oregon coast a tourist trap... that insinuates that price outweighs value. There are so many things to do in any OC town. Thank for the commet!

It's a good question, I haven't explored as much of the Oregon coast as I have of the Oregon Coast... in all reality it goes without saying that the Washington coast is far less explored and developed than the Oregon Coast. With 101 pretty much going all along the coast, all of it is pretty east to access, Washington has islands and inaccessible by car areas that make it more wild. I love that.

We did some of these things in 2017 too. We had a hotel in Kaanapali, we did the Road to Hana (picked up fresh coconuts on the way there) and went up the Pipiwai trail, past the Banyon tree and through the atmospheric bamboo forest (which is breathtaking) to the Waimoku waterfall. Stopped twice on the road at the blowhole and at the Keanae lookout point. We were also on Haleakala and visited the impressive crater, unfortunately not at sunrise. We saw too late that you had to make a reservation there, but unfortunately it was fully booked. Were up there late morning. It was still an incredible sight. More or less at the foot of the mountain we visited the Ocean Vokda Farm. We visited Lahaina when it still existed. So sad that the beautiful place just disappeared, it was one of the coolest days ever. Went there in the great Coolcat Cafe and enjoyed delicious burgers and shakes. We then drove from there to Lanai for one day and visited the Cat Sanctuary. We were then also Iao Needle and a few more places. Maui has so much to offer that 2 weeks were unfortunately far too little. Thanks for upoad and for great memories🤙

I'm heading back in a few weeks and doing a top 10 Adventures/charters/tours! I am so excited, there are a few that are absolutely so cool and cant wait to share the adventures. And maaaaan, Lahaina is so sad, I hope it's a unifying thing for the islands to come together and support the island, it's terrible to think about what that must have been like. So many people perished, so quickly. Terrible. But thankful we got to experience Lahaina in it's former glory. <3

Maui. Maui is great, Oahu is also, but Maui is special. It's a great jumping off point into Hawaii. Kauai is even more wild, and then big island is the most wild/rugged with not as much tourism. oahu is the main island, honolulu is huge and overwhelming and takes a while to find your own space.

I'm flying going the the way, east to west. Georgia in the US to Australia. Question, would I still subtract the 16 hours or add 16 hours. This looks like a great option to beat jet lag.
@JacksonMeyer26 күн бұрын
so going east to west you won't encounter as much jetlag, It's like 14 times more likely gong west to easy or something wild like that. You'd do the same thing, but probably you'd stop eating much closer to your flight time or even ON the flight, since you are fighting again that that time change while flying. Have fun!

hey thanks for the video and tips! We are planning our trip in a couple of weeks to the Dolomites, I think we might also follow this trend of going to Cortina and then Ortisei, did you had problems moving around in the areas you visited with these Limted Traffic Zones, I mean with a car? I know for Alpe di Susi there is one for sure, but don't know about the other locations? Also for your visit to Alpe di Susi, did you take the cable car also from Ortisei? Thanks!

Hey! Thanks for watching and the great question, yeah so a car is definitely recommended for sure, but that is mostly to get to the trailhead, lots of hiking here. @JacksonMeyer29 күн бұрын
You will not regret it, this region is my favorite in Italy. 🇮🇹 Yes, so you need to go to the easa website and register and get brushed up on Italian and European laws. It’s essentially just a bit more strict. When we went to pragser wildsee it was clear no drones were allowed so I used footage from a friend, I really try to abide my the law. Definitely brush up as much as you can, but because of how wild it was, it really seemed like most places were open.

I think you should visit every beach and coastal area in the entire cost of Oregon. However, there are no good motels anywhere north of the California and Oregon border. Period. If you can't afford the higher priced hotels on the coast, don't forget to pack your camping gear. You'll need it. Of course, it goes without saying (but I always say it anyway) Oregon State Parks are top notch...

@@Drop_Shot_Scott Thank you very much Scott You'll probably find the most survivors at hotels But you also find some camps on beaches And some families are now living with one another When an Apartment usually has two people now has five. Now there are some people who want to stay on the island and defend their home but there also others who want to move to another location Since the cost of living there has increased ten fold An apartments rent is three grand now. But here are some things you could help with 1: Stay as far away from lahaina and please don't take pictures of it. 2: If you do meet a family or a person that was a victim give them some help like food or more importantly money IF YOU CAN tho I promise man every cent counts That money can be used for food, health or to move to a safer location 30 bucks to you is one more step of recovery to them Like I said some people trying to get off the island and to more affordable locations. 3: support local business It might be more costly but if those local businesses go under that's more people on the streets 4: Be careful of some locals Now there are some that are absolutely awesome But there are others that are not very fond of tourists So be careful 5: If you meet another local and you have no money to give them.... Give them hope say that things are going to get better Because I wouldn't be safe today without hope. Hope gives you purpose makes you believe Because when the fire started me and my family ended up sleeping in the car with two cats and it smelled of cat urine We ended up sleeping in parking lots for a week With no gas And when I told my mom I had no hope and you know what she told me "Keep on hoping big man we'll get through this" And she is right We did get through it So if you can't give them any money or food that's understandable but at least give them some hope I hope that's enough to help you
