Thank you David, this is such a useful lesson. I am working in a plaster statue using polystyrene rubbish from a skip and an aluminum wire armature, I love the ankle problem, it has made me consider weight distribution as mine will be top heavy. I will use your video as a reference. All the best

Thank you@@DavidSteadStudio , I'll have a look at that when Ive become a more confident sculptor, I'm a nart foundation mature student learning to think in three dimensions after doodling all my life. ICurrently discovering the perils of quick drying plaster, mine is over stirred, leaving me with two good mixes to three disasters, I.m glad I ordered 25KG!!

Fantastic! I really appreciate how you broke down your process so clearly, including colours used. I've never done an oil or acrylic painting of any type - let alone a large landscape - but you have inspired me to have a go. Many thanks, David.

Loved the video and the painting. Can you please tell me how you "splash" oil paint? I loved the effect, is it using a medium or gamsol? Is this all alla prima? thank you
@DavidSteadStudio6 ай бұрын
Hi Susan - yes you would need to use a medium to thin the oil paint.

I saw your work in the Turner documentary and am pleased to find you set-up a channel here. Thank you. Such beautiful work. I had hoped they would show your final paintings but I don't think they did. My ancestors are English, Norman, and Scandi. I've enjoyed watching history, archaeologists, and painters throughout the history of that beautiful island. Good luck David.
