I too understand what he's saying about external forces that tend to be our downfalls. It's in every movie , every commercial, every social media site . Movies showing black women dating and marrying white men but only showing black men as gay or not dependable. Instagram and Facebook showing swirling dating apps and websites. Then women and girls leave the house subconsciously programmed to hate black men and they mistreat us not understanding why they're doing it . Frowning at us in the checkout at the grocery store but smiling at the white customer that was in front of you. I understand it and see it every day .

As a kid I did the same thing. I use to use affirmations on myself before I ever knew what an affirmation was. It was like gods voice was talking me thru the pain and struggle almost as if training me. It’s crazy.
