I'm happy to report that my suspicions of an anti-Bohs / pro-Shels bias on this channel were completely unfounded. Bohs players (& ex players) are very, very well represented in this overated XI video, while, for once, Shels are underrepresented. Refreshing!! Dawson Devoy selling himself short by moving to Bohs is something I hadn't thought of either. I'm learning all the time.

@@TheRealJayNolan😂😂 Come on man, Bohs have been underperforming for years compared to what they’ve spent so some of their big earners could be up for debate here, delusional not to think so. I only had one Bohs player in my team - Flores. Would that be someone you’d disagree with me on strongly? Fair enough if so. I believe Devoys decision to return to Bohs was a poor one. He’s a better player than bottom half LOI, surely you’d agree? And Bohs have bought far too many players in the same position, would you disagree with that too? We do have a bit of craic on the channel at times of course but these are genuine observations trying to come from a neutrals POV! Of course Shels won’t have too many shouts for an Overrated XI just off the back of winning a league!

@LOIFANTV Dawson Devoy's rationale for moving (back) to Bohs was the same as Ross Tierney's (& Danny Grant's), namely, Bohs are underperforming - which you said yourself. He clearly believed he could be instrumental in returning Bohs to better times. 20/20 hindsight calling that a bad move. Underperforming for Bohs means not in contention for Europe. Bohs are no more a bottom half team than Shels are tourists taking a break from their rightful spot in the 1st division. These things are temporary. James Clarke should knuckle down & perform better so he can move to a real team. I'm used to that level of dismissiveness here, but meanwhile, Duff is the best manager in the league & Tolka Park is the best ground? You brought up delusional, not me 😆 🤣 . Ps... I mean no disrespect with my dry, sarcasm. That's why I direct it as a response to my mate (& fellow long suffering gypsy) PJ - as a joke, intended to make him laugh.

Ledwidge is underrated not overrated, made so many critical tackles last year, I'd argue he'd be first choice over Wilson based off last year's form and he definitely did a job at CB many times

John Caulfield took City to the 3rd UEL qualifying round in 2016, knocking a much higher ranked BK Hacken out and only losing 3-1 over 2 legs to a Genk team that had the likes of Ndidi, Leon Bailey and Trossard playing for them. So this idea that he “didn’t come close to what John Russell did with Sligo” is completely false. Not to mention Sean Maguire was struggling for form and for minutes at Dundalk before he signed him, and he still went and won the league without him for the last 1/3 of the season and beat Dundalk in the cup final to win the double at the end of the season. The reality is if City hadn’t gotten rid of him then we mightn’t have been relegated the first time around and would probably be in a better position right now

The Dublin bias here is unbelievable. The vast majority of stadiums in Dublin are run down dilapidated eyesores with severely restricted views. 1 . Tallaght Best in the Country by a country mile 2 turners cross Great ground. No restricted views. Lively atmosphere. All stands covered. Central location 3 show grounds in Sligo. Lovely stadium. Central location. No restricted views 4 Galway. Nice looking ground. Slight restriction of view but nothing major 5 rsc . Running track is an issue but other than that it’s fine. No restricted views and a fantastic playing surface. Central location 6. Brandywell . Nice enough ground but atrocious pitch. No restricted views and. 7. Dalymount park. Looks like a run down dilapidated eyesore because it is unfortunately. But does benefit from a good location and no restricted views and a good atmosphere. 8 tolka park. See above. No cover for away fans . Restricted view from the stands. And the roof of the stand looks like it could collapse the next time a pigeon shits on it. 9 . Richmond park . Probably the worst ground in the league in terms of restricted views. Seriously between floodlight pylons and roof supports about 20% of the pitch is blocked. 2 uncovered stands and a gantry make up the ground. Doesn’t look great. United park drogheda. Just looks like it was randomly thrown together. Again serious restriction on the view

Potentially some bias throughout, we’re both Dublin based so would go to those grounds more often for example (and more recently so may not have seen some development across the country ie RSC). One of us had Dalyer in 9th though so 🤷♂️ Appreciate the comment and leaving your top 10 🙌 Sure it’s all subjective to one’s own experience and just a bit of craic!

I get the RSC has the track, but everything else is really good, perfect pitch, stands, floodlights, fanzone, cleanliness, accessibility. If you take away the track, in terms of facilities it's only behind Tallaght and Turner's Cross

If clubs don’t get their stadiums sorted soon we will lose all the fans we have gained I’m not buying this “vintage look” people bang on about . Tolka , Dalymount, United park and many more are a disaster. They look awful on TV and even worse when your in them. Clubs need to act fast on this and not put out the same old “plans in the pipeline” BS

Thanks for tuning in and the comment! Personally I’m a fan of the “vintage look” as you put it. I’d prefer Highbury over the Emirates and the Boleyn Ground over the Olympic Stadium for example. That being said you can have a vintage look but modernised facilities within which is crucial. Agree on the TV aspect, and the fan experience generally, a lot of stadiums need improvement desperately. It’s obviously a financial issue, we’re starting to see more govt grants etc being put in place. Work in progress but hopefully in 5/10 years time we’re in a much better place across the country!

The Pitch in United Park is one of the best in the Country. Matt and Ian do a great job with it as Volunteers... Delighted you didn't mention having to get tetanus injections when entering the ground as that can be a little off putting to those attending the Stadium for the first time ... Having to wipe your feet when leaving the Ground can be a little weird for some, but you get use to it😉💜💙

Tallaght Stadium is the best facility, no doubt about that, but Tolka does have a more lively atmosphere, but I think the dated look of Tolka brings it 3rd after Cork and Tallaght

Great to see turners cross ranked high. The tallagh stadium is the best no doubt. Super place. But theres still serious work to do,dalymount,united park and the rsc need attention. But tolka park number 1-ok each to their own. (Pity about lukes language though) great video and interesting. Capacity figures and average crowds would have been a nice addition

Hopefully we see a lot of re-development over the next 5 years or so, feels like there’s a real momentum behind the league at the moment and the facilities need to flow with it! Stadium improvement and more publicity would benefit it further. Amazing with all that passed covid and the national team so poor. Great video. Bohs need signings so so badly. Last minute again, not good enough as a fan. Surely they would have known over 6 months now that we need a full back and a striker. In terms of your comments about Derry I have to say I disagree. For example, if that was Bohs signing experienced 30+ year old players who get into Europe and Nick wins here and there, I’d be ecstatic and buzzing. We’ve often signed young players from the UK, who just didn’t make the grade. Instant success is great. If you have Europe it’s instantly more attractive to players to sign for your club, and makes the market easier.

I just think it’s a big risk and necessarily the best route for the club imo but I could be massively wrong on it. I think they could have found a better blend with some experience brought in and then some young exciting talent!

To say Duff has earned no respect as a manager is crazy. True his success has been over a short period , so it is hard to compare him with those who have been successful over a number of years.

Don't forget Ross that Stephen Kenny didn't take on the St Pats job until the mid-may last season. St Pats had played 16 league games before he took charge last season. So he was in charge of 20 league games (55% of the league games) and they missed out on the title by 4 points. Law of averages would say that if he had of been in charge of the team for the full season they would've won the league title. Ps... just for the record i ain't a St Pats fan 😂
