For a guy who has such a massive serve, he sure has some weak ass groundstrokes. Besides the initial return of serve, any tour level player would have won that point against Goran. He has no one to blame but himself. Maybe that's why Roger almost burst into laughter😂.

Interesting, this was greenset but it was much slower than 90s carpet. Was this not a carpeted surface?

Ivanisevic is so stupid.. Why the hell is he going straight to the net for volley after serving... Of course Federer can hit the ball next to him..

The 1984 U.S. Open semifinal between Connors and McEnroe is the best quality men's singles tennis match I've ever seen! Outstanding play by both players from start to finish! God how that era's tennis is so missed and so vastly superior to the dull, sleep-inducing, totally lacking in creativity and artistry "tennis" of today!

በጣም የገረመኝ የዚህ ሙዚቃ የኃላ ታሪክ is based on her true story. Its dedicated to her first child to peoples frequently asking questions about who he is the father and ሐመልማል የት ጠፋች። Thank you have a blessed day

For us gear geeks. McEnroe is using his Dunlop Max 200G, that he started using in 1983. Connors surprisingly is using the Wilson ProStaff original, that he tried to get used to for a short time, before returning to his Wilson T2000. Both the Max200G and the ProStaff were iconic graphite racquets of the era of change from wood to graphite in the early 80s.

you can really see a difference in the pace and speed of the graphite racquet's both were playing compared to the wooden and steel racquet's they played in the past. No question with the now modern technology they still would be great today, with both players playing there very unique brand of tennis. 1984 was McEnroe's greatest year and last real great year of his career! One of the best individual year's in the history of the game. That year he played inside the baseline often taking first serve's and coming right to the net. That year his timing, reflex's and movement on the court all came together. If he didn't run out of gas in the French Final against Lendl he could have won the Grand Slam! Connors in this match played incredible just to stay with him!

Always loved watching Ivanisevic serve, but most of the top guys in his prime were too well rounded (Sampras) for him to win.
