Chaiti or Chitra ?....there is Chaiti Gauri which has similar structure but is an evening or dusk raag,like Lalita Gauri.

Actually this Bandish was written and composed for a Hindi Movie. This Bandish is based on a classical piece, and this anecdote was narrated by Panditji himself. Nevertheless, its a pretty melodious Bandish and most probably sung here by Panditji himself, supported by one of his favorite disciples, Jay Mevundi... 💁

There is an UVK/AAK Marwa that was recorded in 1978 as well, with Pandit Avtar Singh and Ustad Zakir Hussain on tabla. Since the gat in the above recording seems to be in Puriya Kalyan, so I am inclined to infer that the recording Rameshbabu has kindly shared is the alap and the recording shared in my first response is the gat. Happy to be educated/corrected. The quality of Rameshbabu's recording is simply astounding !!
