I didn't know you reviewed his humidor. I had him custom make me one two years ago and I don't regret it. I put 69 or 65 percent boveda packs in there and it holds at that rh. It's incredible.

The issue with the lid is due to the removeable inserts for the inside walls. If you sanded the front one down a bit - it would close perfectly. Plus the changes in humidity wont help with that.... I am building one of these for a friend... I don't even smoke cigars - but I have done BEYOND an insane amount of research on these - and I would consider myself an expert on them as a woodworker. That one is JUNK.

I bought one of these a couple months ago and I love it as I have all the rest of the quasar accessories including the humidor, table top lighter, punch set. I agree it took a few attempts to calibrate the flame. Despite some negative comments, it is a beautiful piece of equipment that matches my cigar collections. So I agree, if you have other quasar pieces, then this is a must😎👍🏼

Thank you for the review. Based on this video I contacted Ed and had a custom humidor made. Awesome experience. He was excellent to work. He has upgraded his shop with a Lazer burner and I was able to send him a picture that he burned into the inside of the lid and custom inlaid design outside too, pretty neat. Great construction, perfect fir. I have had the humidor for over 6 months and I'm happy to report I didn't have any of the issues you mentioned in the video. Again thank you for reviewing this, I'm very happy with my purchase.

For the same price, you can get yourself a real vintage Line 2 with the "ping". Or if you want something smaller, go for a Gatsby or Line D.
