First to say have the hematoma drained. I have a hematoma and letting a blood clot sit in my cheek doesn’t seem right to me. 5 days since my surgery and a big hematoma in my cheek. Going to get it drained tomorrow

I ad upper eye surgery due to droopy lids four years ago an I am still dealing with horrific dry eye.
@kamilekapel9 ай бұрын
Oh no. I'm sorry to hear it's been four years! I am at the eight month mark after upper and lower bleph and still dealing with horrific dry eye too. I had it done in Mexico where I was never warned of this risk. I had Lasik before. Are you pursuing any treatments? My eyes want eyedrops all the time. I am trying everything I hear about on the "Doctor Eye Health" channel. So far these things are helping: Nulids, manuka honey gel (by Optimel), sleep tight tape on the lids at night, and a humidifier. I'll be getting IPL next because the specialist said I have ocular rosacea which is contributing to the problem. My first pair of moisture chamber glasses is due to arrive in the mail any day now. Hopefully, this will allow me to comfortably go to the beach without worrying about a flare up. And if those work I may also try the Ziena glasses which should help with computer work. I just got the new idrop MGD drops yesterday which are pretty good. Provided relief for a couple of hours.
@lynnebunte33999 ай бұрын
@@kamilekapel I used Xiidra drops. They burn at first but are very good. I went to their web site and I got them for free through Shire Cares as they are expensive. Drop in each eye twice per day. I use a humidifier in the Fall and Winter as my location if very dry during that time. Warm compresses helped me a lot and I still use them on occasion. I just do the best I can and they have improved but in the Spring I am miserable. Afraid stuck with dry eye forever. I should sue the Dr. as I too was not notified of this risek! Hope you do better.

Has it gone away! I have severe dry eye syndrome after lower blepharoplasty
@KingsDaughter19574 ай бұрын
@@user-zs8zo6eq5s My surgery was upper eyelids only and I never had dry eyes prior to my 2022 procedure. What I THINK has happened is that, when they remove that skin, they are also removing lubricating cells. It's worse for me at some times (like when I'm tired or dealing with seasonal allergies) so I'm POURING drops into my eyes at those times. :( I keep waiting for it to improve, but it doesn't.

@@riti05100 Everyone is different but I can tell you that I am 9.5 months post blephoraplasty and am finally finding life a bit easier, thank goodness. I still need to put in hylo gel strong eye drops every two hours but at least now the drops put me at ease for that time and I am not thinking about my eyes constantly. I am doing all the things (fish oil, drops, wipes, ivermectin cream, a good humidifier, testosterone, progesterone, taping my eyelids closed at night and wearing a mask...). I've done two IPL treatments which is helping with the inflammation. By the third IPL, I'll be ready for my first meibomian gland expression so crossing fingers that helps with the dryness. Just in the last couple weeks I started using Hypochlorous acid spray which I feel is helping with the inflammation of the eyelids (not just the eyes). I recommend trying these two things. But most of all, see a dry eye specialist to get assessed and prescribed a treatment plan specific to your situation.

Years ago I remember a dermatologist in Manhattan using nitric oxide on my skin as an acne riddled skin and I have never forgotten its powerful positive impact on my skin - he would use a wand to release the NO onto my skin - sort of like a blower - he would hold the wand and "blow" the NO all over my face and neck. I've wished for years that I could have that treatment again and came to KZbin to research the possibly and here you are.

Isnt nitric oxide produced when you breath through your nose and from sun exposure?
@hans-christianholdt7783 жыл бұрын
Your'e absolutely right. As the NO receptors are found only in your nose, mouthbreathing won't let you take up this important air component. Depression or mood disorder is a likely consequence.

Since NO is not stable, it is obviously not NO in the products but a precursor or an arginase inhibitor. Beets don't contain nitric oxide, they contain nitrates which convert to NO. It would helpful to provide links to references.

Some Eucerin products contain arginine; some also contain urea and ornithine, which inhibit arginase. All will increase NO. int.eucerin.com/our-research/ingredients/arginine-hcl Green tea catechin is also an arginase inhibitor. Red light therapy (aka LED therapy, photobiomodulation, LLLT) increases NO production.

@rhyothemisprinceps16173 жыл бұрын
Pure Encapsulations has an interesting video on its oral supplements for NO production - but note that what the presenter says about ornithine is not correct. Ornithine is an arginase inhibitor and will increase arinine levels. I tried ornithine and got a cold sore - presumably because my arginine/lysine ratio got too high. I took some lysine and pretty much overnight it cleared up. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2OqYZ2ofpx1fdk
