Aleah's participation in this song just made it more beautiful, she harmonized the melody. Her voice in her solo project was also perfect.

I don’t know if he’ll ever see this, but I was the victim of modern slavery and during this I was locked in a house for over 7 years. One of the only things that kept me sane through that isolation was music. 36CF and Brocks lyrics got me through some incredibly rough times, and I’m forever grateful for the impact you made on my life. Thank you so much for keeping me going. I’m grateful in general for you, your ability to create music and channeling like grief and the human experience into your lyrics. I’m hoping to get my first tattoo soon and it will be the album cover of the ‘the tide and its takers’ thank you for everything man. Will be listening to everything you do.
