Depends on what you mean by better.. this 5.0 could very well last longer, and be cheaper to repair. But 5.0 explorers are old now. The ecoboost will have more power, get better mpg, and the newer body style will have more room for sure.

That truck was through hell and back a few times, I definitely wasn't exactly easy on it when I owned it, toughest damn truck I had ever seen, thing was an absolute monster
