Where are all the nice homes in suburbia? Where are the grocery supercenters, the banks, auto service centers, the fancy restaurants, where can an American get a good steak? Where are the Byrne dairies? Museums? Horticulture gardens? The roads look well kept, the tourist office has some explaining to do.

Wouldn't take much to get lost, in a foreign land, with a different language, currency, where the metric system is used, and it better be in spring or early summer, because damn, winters are brutal.

Thank you for posting this video. I recently moved out of the country for work and Winnipeg is where I grew up, so when I really miss it I will throw this video on my TV and just let it play in the background while I work.

Montreal is ugly, but there are lot of stuff to do, even during the winter. It's the opposite of Vancouver, which is beautiful but boring.

Great video. Best video I've seen of Edmonton downtown and surrounding area. Born and raised here. Love Edmonton. Beautiful city. It's a big city that's not too big. 1.5 million people. You are a 3 and 1/2 hour drive from Jasper, Alberta - a gorgeous town in the Rocky Mountains. Our green traffic light structures in downtown Edmonton on Jasper Ave are the same light structures that Jasper has in their downtown, or, originally had. Edmonton has started building taller towers downtown since closing the downtown airport which is just north of everything you saw in this video. All towers downtown had to be a certain height because of air flight coming in and out of downtown for years. That is why you see a lot buildings quite short on the West side of downtown. And in the core of downtown, the limit was about 33 stories while that airport was open. Since then, more towers have been built higher than that including the Stantec Tower which is 70 stories.

its anything but peaceful lol. trust me i live here, its essentially if chicago and detroit had a child, but it had some place like philadelphia as a father growing up. It's a pretty terrible place as of right now, with all the druggies and homelessness, even many abandoned houses that take YEARS to get demolished, even if its just a rubble pile because of a fire lol. Sadly, the province has always had some of the highest rates of poverty in Canada, but there's hope it will improve as some important companies have moved here recently, which might provide cheaper goods, and more jobs as its difficult to get employed in most places here if you are new, and don't know where to look, or have much experience.
