You likely only need to reconnect a spring to get the reverse lever to go back in place.

Normal there are about 3 springs to check to see if there are still there should be 2 on the by the feed dogs and 1 in near the reverse button.

At this time have a 3116 that the owner wanted me to take a look at, the selector knob for the type of stitch turns freely, upon opening it is evident, removing the knob and the end panel the rod connected to a gear that the knob should turn is no longer connected. Also, that gear that meshes with another (the gear with the steps) seemed jammed. Otherwise the machine appears well taken care of, very clean, owner is an experienced sewer and keeps the bobbin area free of lint. Would like to take the front and back panels off but they are resisting (using the sewing guy's plastic pry tools. Am taking photos

Mine is exact same, but can't get the feed dog to go down without manually pushing it.

Look around could be thread stuff in it. Oil the them. Use the reverse button to see where you need to oil it should show you the things when it moves back and forth. Add the oil to those parts.

I inherited this machine, it was left in the basement of a house we purchased. My daughter wants to learn how to sew and make beds for her pets. I found your video to be helpful, however, I am still not able to get my sewing machine to create a stitch that adheres on both sides. I’m not sure if I’m having a bobbin problem or what.

Sounds like it needs to be cleaned and inspected like check see if it needs oil or grease. Check the belt.

Yes, if you have the size needle and adjust it to the tension between 8 or 9

Leather like light suede or leatherette. Should sew nicely.

I have this exact sewing machine! I bought mine at a Goodwill in Black Mountain,NC. I was afraid it wouldn't work. When I got back to my dorm at Ridgecrest I plugged the machine in. Thankfully it worked,it still had the manual, and the even the light bulb was still working. I still need to get it serviced at some point. I haven't sewed since I was a teenager and sewing machines are still intimidating to me.😅

Depends on the brand Personal I love Orange needle company you can buy a 10 pkg of needles for around $3.50 90/12 if you want to sew denim use a 14 or 16.

My chickens are doing well. I take good care of them. I been building them a brand new coop and run. For all the large chickens. Soon, these 4 will be joining the other ones. As soon as I get all the security done.

Oh boy, 😱 I can't believe how people are towards their chickens. That's really sad, frostbite does not look good on chickens. Chickens can handle 35 degrees and up. Anything below 30 degrees they will get frostbite and they sometimes don't recover some will die. That's so so sad 😢.

I have a question. I acquired my grandmother's after she passed away some years ago. It is the exact same machine you have here which thank you I have learned alot. My question is you remove the drawer on the bottom and there is a spot to load the bottom thread how do you thread that? I can't for the life of me figure it out.
