Thanks for your content! I have the same boat with the 425. Did you ever calculate the full weight of the boat with full water and fuel? Website says 4500 lbs with engine (dry weight). Curious if you know if that is with the base engine or the upgrade to 425 Yamaha? Appreciate your content!

You asked for comments.... I hope you don't mind long ones. Try a 6' med-heavy Ugly Styk. Lite rods? Much of your casting energy is lost to the flex. It gives more a$$ to muscle in big fish when you need it... i.e. a dolphin is chasing it. Plus, it's the HIT that counts. I never use leader. I use 30 lb Berkley Fireline tied straight to the lure. The fish can't see it or don't care. It's easy to spend SOMEONE ELSE'S money. Buy a 30 lb Bogagrip. I've had mine 30 years. Still looks new. It goes in the fishes mouth quicker and is easier on their mouths. Plus.... It spins when they thrash. You will be glad for the upgrade EVERY time you use it. It is obvious you use top grade gear. Did you ever review why you went with Simrad vs Garmin? Did you order all electronics via the factory? I got mine from Fishtale and it didn’t come with any electronics. They recommended (so I agreed) all Garmin equipment (I have radar as well).

Have you tried trimming up when in reverse? Thats helped me around the dock. I guess it helps blow water under the boat. It was advice another boater gave me and seems to help. I have the 266 Cayman as well. Coming out of the Hendry Creek area.

This is really well a done video. I have several ontario channels and watched all of their videos... couple hundred. Skipped dozens from others that did not appeal. This stopped me and watching to the end. I think you quiz the guys too much. So far, no music! My son moved to Washington state a few years ago and has had a blast catching trout and salmon.... do not recommend sea sucker at all. After this video i ordered from then on July 17. Its july 22 and no indication its been shipped or preparing for shipment. I called them on their number NO answer. multiple calls. Its apparent no one works the phones. Emailed , messaged through FB.. Finally after a FB message they replied by end of week should have shipping info. really a week and half for them to then ship? 210 dollars for a rod holder and the mod you have for the net. Totally unresponsive customer service.

My tip is leave the thing in the school a little longer, than what you see here🙏 There’s multiple hooks for a reason. One fish is on, he works the lures enough for other fish to bite them usually. You wanna real up and have three fish on, 5 fish on, not just one. You find the school leave you bait there and just lightly pop your weight off the bottom, drop it, and rinse and repeat

What boat are you running and what does it draft? I use FMT now on my skiff but I am moving to a bay boat. I'm wondering how suitable FMT red tracks are for my new boat. Do you use the tracks at low tides or only when the tide is rising in the upper half?

I trolled a few of those mojarras out of Ponce inlet and they got crushed by a few freight trains. Never got them in because I was by myself, I would've had to chase them down.

I love your boat, was it a good idea to put the battery switches and other stuff in the hull area where salt water can slosh and have you had an issue?

Need to start pushing further offshore to look for mahi and blackfin and wahoo . I’m new to sw Florida so figuring out some of the close spots around boca grande pass first
