Another gimic AC. They never mention you have to make a custom screen... or, what good does it do to be able to open the window, and let anything in that is from the outside. :-p Anyway, expect water leakage in the front.

@@MundiTaurus It's actually worked pretty good so far this summer. For the cost, it can't be beat. Ideally, I'd like a mini split, but that will have to wait till next summer. And I did tilt it slightly back, so there haven't been any leakage issues in the front.

He was a Tony-award winning actor, somewhat more prolific but less successful as a Broadway producer. She was one of the wittiest and sympathetic personalities on TV. When anyone puts down someone known as a "TV personality," remind them of Miss Francis. I remember her, though it's not listed as a credit of hers at IMDB, as the host of _Amahl and the Night Visitors_ on several years of its annual broadcast. I remember her long-running radio interview show. And, of course, _What's My Line?_ Sadly, Peter Gabel died nearly two years ago.

Way to ruin it by adding stupid music

@@entangledloops Yes the background music is annoying. But if it wasn't there, KZbin recognizes the clip and removes it. I know because I tried it without the music and it got yanked.

Hey @4seeable! Awesome idea that I'm definitely going to use! Quick question about your setup. For the wood you cut was it just a 3/4in Melamine White MDF Panel? Thanks!
@4seeableTV21 күн бұрын
@@corbssterling it was half inch plywood and then a quarter inch white melamine.
@4seeableTV20 күн бұрын
@@corbssterling also, the panel had a latch on the left side that I took off to make it flat, so it laid flush with the wood when I turned it on its side. When summer's over, I'll just screw the latch back on and put the panel back in the regular way.

How is the AC secured compare to a standard install (with provide brackets)?
@4seeableTVАй бұрын
Yes, it sits on the bracket it came with. Unlike other window units that I installed in the past where you needed the window to help hold it in. If you open the window, the unit would fall right out. But with this Midea unit, the bracket does all the holding. It's pretty cool.

Nice idea if your window panes are in 'portrait mode' (taller than wide), unfortunately my panes are 'landscape mode" (wider than tall), so it's not an option. Clever though.

@@4seeableTV and voiceguy3635, Good Grief! In many comments sections made on "What's My Line" shows, that same mindset was often expressed, but not by women! Martin Gabel's appeal was his energy- both mental and physical. As a woman, I can say Mr. Gabel could park his slippers under my bed anytime! (sorry, Arlene)

It's a cool building to check out if your heading up Hwy 395. If you go by and visit the old building in Olancha Ca. there is a mean old dude who lives behind it. He might come out and harrass you. I never went in but watch out for him even if you stop.

I won't lie but I kinda like this ending better cause us as an audience not being able to see the pic ourselves is kinda unfair. I mean I guess it builds the suspense more and makes it more scarier and has as us as as the viewers kinda guess in our minds of how it would have looked to make it more creepier for us but still it seemed kinda of a disappointment and I thought that the way you did it showing how it would have looked liked was so spot on and perfect. I think also back then the reason why they didn't show us was I think back then you weren't allowed to show dead bodies on tv shows at the time compared to now. at least that is what I heard.
@4seeableTV5 ай бұрын
Thanks. You make good points. I tried to keep it fairly innocent. I'm guessing they didn't mind showing one or two bodies, but a whole bunch of people might have been too much at the time.
@_captain_N5 ай бұрын
which is funny seeing how things have changed now with all the horror movies you see now. I guess the 50's was a totally different story and they weren't allowed to do that back then. you know what is really funny though? this episode inspired two other episodes from two other shows that had the same plot. the tale of the curious camera from are you afraid of the dark and say cheese and die from goosebumps.

Absolutely! It should be noted that Miss Francis bore Peter when she was almost forty- back then a rather advanced and risky age for a mother to have a child. Thankfully, both mother and child were healthy and he was brilliant from Day One. Professor Gabel lived to 75 until his 2022 passing -leaving a surviving son.
