Hi, what size are the oil seals???
@greenleaf223313 күн бұрын
I been messing around with 4 strokes in scooters and small bikes but now I have a 2002 polaris trail blazer 250 sitting out there. First 2 stroke for me. I haven't started on anything and your video here was worth a lot of knowledge I need. I do know the electric start does work. Was told the crank seal needs replaced, it affects the running it seems. I need a lonnnggg project for fall and winter. So I got one. My labor is not an issue. I like to think hobbies cost money and if I get the parts cost I be happy!! But thanks again for your insights.

That jump box won’t put power out unless it senses a certain amount of voltage. Also these are notorious for stuck rings. Especially if it has been sitting with no plug in it. Pull the cylinder and very carefully work the rings loose. Reassemble and she should run

I know this video is old but is that conversion for the actual 570 since I tried looking those up and nothing?
@CumminsDriver29 күн бұрын
@@jimbrown6976 yes SuperATV used to offer a kit just for the 570. I can only assume they didn’t sell enough of them to continue making the kit and it was discontinued not too long after I bought mine. There are still ways to build your own though. Guys are using Polaris Ranger 900xp rear a-arms and axles on the back and the front is identical to an 800 RZR so you can use rzr 800S front axles and arms. Hope this is helpful

@CumminsDriverАй бұрын
@@dieselfueled_ it’s an 800/300 stall. I’ve had the converter roughly 16 years and I don’t think they even offer that exact converter anymore. It’s a very tight converter. A little slow spooling but it pulls really hard
@dieselfueled_Ай бұрын
@CumminsDriver hows the egts towing on a grade?
@CumminsDriverАй бұрын
@@dieselfueled_ It does good, very manageable as long as you drive sensible. The turbo is quick spooling so that helps keep the EGT's in check. It has enough fuel to get hot if you push it, but it has plenty of power without running into heat issues.

@CumminsDriver2 ай бұрын
Yep, still running the same he351cw that I put on probably back in 2008 or so. lol Its still hanging tough, although I wouldn't mind to swap on a 64/67 he351 at some point. I actually trailered mine in this time, first time I've ever hauled it to a pull. I really prefer driving it in and don't plan to haul it much but I've kind of had it off the road in preparation for doing some work to it.

@@CumminsDriver Dang it’s been on there for awhile..haha I remember wanting a 62/68 back when I had my 97 in 2010.. but I’m sure there’s better options now a days. Around here now you need like 800hp for “stock” class I was mid pack plus back then with a clean tuned ebay hx40 😂
@CumminsDriver2 ай бұрын
@@one4x4nut I had an HX40 on this truck for a little while before i did the 351. It ran pretty decent, it was just kind of laggy. It could definitely make more power with some more air at this point. It really depends on the night around here as to what kind of power it takes in the street class. lol I know of several things I could do to help mine out quite a bit at this point but i really need to spend some time fixing rust first 😬

Doing mine now, will not be able to drain all the oil with the shank in the engine block. Tapped with a hole in the thread shank would fix that issue.
@CumminsDriver4 ай бұрын
Yes you are correct, it will leave a small amount of oil in the bottom when draining but I decided it wouldn't be a big enough problem to worry about, also you could use a tube down the fill hole to suck out any remaining oil if needed. And yes I agree the metal washers will last much better than the rubber o-rings. Good luck with your fix!
