I gotta do all this to replace the head….FUCK!
@wolverinemcstud1945 ай бұрын
You don’t have to do all of this. I changed a bunch of the seals that didn’t necessarily need to be changed, but because I had the head off and they were easy to get to. You don’t have to change the water pump if you don’t want to same thing I did it because I had the head off. I think I changed the rocker arms in this video to which is not necessary. You can put the old ones back on a new head anyhow, if it were just changing the head the head that I got in the mail already had valves in it. I wanted to change the valve seals because I like a good challenge and to learn. Don’t get overwhelmed just get it done. 💪💪💪

So this guy says he's not a mechanic while he takes the whole engine apart able to strip down to the very basics of the car makes a very detailed video records every little shot and angle and details needed to understand how to perform this activity while still claiming to not know anything about how to being a mechanic.

I’m really not a mechanic. My trade is an electrician but I do pay attention to other trades. I will make a video how I think and how it started . 😄

great video...do you have one showing how to swap the pedal axles? I am looking to get 1/2" pedals into a 9/16" crank...and I don't want to use those cheap adapters, as they break and extend the pedal out too far.

This is what the internet was designed for. Sharing of USEFUL information. Not dumb ass prank videos and untrendy dances. On a side note, I love Neon's, great little cars, I've had 3 in my life time, all made it 300k miles. Just got another 2004 RT I'm rebuilding so its new again. For a compact car, very easy to work on, timing belt isn't even that bad and reliable. Least the 5 speeds are, my automatic wasn't too bad but wasn't as much fun.

Hey are you still around? You hooked me with your Dodge Neon head gasket replacement video. I have sent that video out to so many people it isn’t funny! Really helped a lot of people! Hopefully this finds you well and you make more vids, even though it has been a long time now. Just thought I’d drop a line.

I just knew there was a way you could take that top shield off. Always get a 2nd opinion from mechanics. I had one guy, the only mechanic around my area that would change o2 sensors, telling me that the upstream sensor is only accessible from underneath the car, and he was trying to charge me an ass load of money to do the job. Thank you so much man. God bless you.

Mine stumbled while shifting the other day. When I push the pedal to the floor it does not skat like it should. Actually slows down. Revving it up while setting, out of gear, it always did limit RPM around 3000 RPM or so but now I think it's maxing out even lower. Maybe the 2300 I think you mentioned? I'd put a fuel pump in it a few years ago and was afraid it was failing again. I do have a cheap code reader. It mentioned something about the camshaft position sensor so maybe I lucked out. Your video was helpful to let me know where to find it. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick-fix guide to erratic idling. It exactly matches my 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.8 L. I was finding mostly later model guides to throttle body cleansing. On cold winter days, the Caravan sometimes stalls out in the first 5 minutes or so of operation - like when coming to a stop sign, but then idles normally after warming up. Other days, I turn it on and go without any erratic idling. I hope that cleaning the throttle body sensor will help. I'll check the air filter while I'm at it. Those clips are tough to unclamp.
