I am at the age when I am never, like ever, throwing out my clothes ever again. The loop has been closed. I have seen it all. I'm sitting on my couch in jeans I uswd to wear in high school, but throwed it away after uni because I could not believe it will ever be back in. My goddamn grandma was right... 😂 is that what being grown up is? Realizing your grandma was right?

I wash clothes before wearing unless it’s dry clean only or something. That’s just for the sake of separating my skin from the chemical processing.

@@danabrown3476 Thanks for watching! A black pointy toe pump is classic and would look nice! I would not do patent since your pants have shine but leather or suede would work. You could also do something statementy like leopard print depending on the top you choose (and your personal tastes). Hope that helps!

I must say that I do believe in capsule wardrobes, but not in the way it’s mostly presented to us. A capsule wardrobe can look like whatever YOU want or need it to look like. I’ve learned that if you stay within your color palette (I’m a soft summer) everything you buy will almost automatically mix and match well. In that respect you actually don’t need that standard capsule. Doing it this way and buying things I will actually love and wear helps me adjust it to MY lifestyle and personal needs. Sticking with cuts and fits that work for your body makes things a lot easier too. Great video! It’s good that you point this out 👍🏻

I’m a minimalist but I love my clothes! Especially my leggings and oodie! Capsule wardrobes do have their advantages but they’re not for everyone. You’re defo right about the seasons changing part of clothing. I can’t wear a thick jumper in the summer just like how I can’t wear my shorts in the winter. Great video by the way, very insightful. ✨

Hi! Thanks for the inspiration! Florida girlie here, and it’s just now getting down to the high 70’s during the day. 😆 In the upper 80’s/90’s, I switched my nude and light brown sandals to black and cognac brown, white sneakers and now I have transitioned to ballet flats and sneakers. I love the sweater over the shoulder options and color swaps with summer pieces too. This really helps me because we have another month before it really feels like fall.

Hells yeah to skinny jeans!!! I've tried all different types of jeans/pants silhouettes and honestly, the skinny is the MOST flattering to my body type. 5'10 with an athletic/ hourglass shape. Wider pants just make me look wider overall, and baggy shirts often do the same when you're larger busted. My "golden ratio" is a slimmer or flared pant, and a slightly relaxed shirt tucked in the front. That accentuates my figure perfectly, without feeling like I look 20 lbs heavier 😂

To be fair, stores will sell whatever people buy. There are plenty of out of style things still being sold, esp at places like Amazon, TJ Maxx etc. But skinny jeans still sell well for a reason! Plenty of people are still buying them :)

Great video! I love that you said everything doesn’t have to be “styled.” I loved all the outfits you posted that were more minimalist. Many of the “styled” outfits on influencers feel stuffy to me. An example would be tee shirt, button down, blazer combo with jeans and a belt. Too much for me I know I would be uncomfortable.
