The reason they didn’t want this to come out is because this is who they really are irl!!! Or were. I mean, come on who actually names themselves “The pus y posse” (and yes, they did call themselves that first before it leaked to the press)…. and I still see Leo and Toby like that they haven’t changed much… They have more success now and more money now but Toby is the second most degenerate gambler out there… He’s rude, and could be a total entitled. a$$. And Leo? Do I really need to spell that out? Dude is 50 and never been married still acting like a little model, chasing bachelor, dating the same age girls as he was during his pu$$y posse days.

Thanks for covering this great series and great band. Maybe you could have told a bit more about Karen/Ch. mcVie, the keyboardist, who in the series and in the real FM band choses rock'nroll over a family. And yes of course Aurora cannot be compared to Rumors, but i agree with you that it is pretty impressive with 2 or 3 really good dings with its own vibe, meaning they really created a pop rock band for the duration of the show. Apart from dead man walking i don't remember so many original movies musical legacy.

That's a really good point! I didn't include the 2019 Met look because I felt the drippy crystals, the showgirl silhouette and the shoulder length hair made it kind of an campy/ insincere "wet girl" look; she did wear it to the "CAMP" met gala. The whole style didn't have the kinds of artistic themes I wanted to discuss with the look. But if that's what got you interested, cool!

@@MissZen94 Well it's mostly about Tobey but sure, someone in the table plays DiCaprio in some scenes. It's not like an unknown thing that Tobey is big for gambling and it's easy to fit the pieces together that the Cera's character is him since Spiderman had just come out at the time of events of the book/movie and it's largely hinted who it could be by that and there really is not anyone else that it could have been. It's still not 100% confirmed it's him. Even more so tho I think they cast Michael Cera since the two have boyish looks and Cera otherwise don't really get serious roles... So I do beleave it's him, just saying.

I feel like a lot of abused people are watching this show and projecting their issues onto it. Lestat did not love bomb Louis, he LOVES Louis. He thought turning Louis, who was likely on the verge of suicide, was the best thing for him. That way he could be himself and not worry about humans or what society wants him to conform to. Imagine turning someone you love because you think it would be good for them, only for them to end up with a vampire version on an E.D. Lestat shows love through words of affirmation and gift giving. He's by no means perfect. He has abandonment issues, doesn't communicate his frustrations well, I'm pretty he's afraid that what happened to Nicki will happen to Louis and it scares him. He cant tell them everything about vampire history because theyll be killed. He doesn't want them going to Europe because Claudia alone raised concerns. She is a child vampire. They aren't supposed to turn children. He sucks and communicating this. Or at least thats what we see from Claudia's POV.

If Don’s Plum were a documentary, then DiCaprio might have something to worry about. However, given that it is a work of FICTION, so fing what if the characters were misogynistic? Are you seriously suggesting we can’t make films about misogynistic characters anymore? This is beyond Orwellian. I’m not condoning misogyny, but I do highly value the right for any artist to make a movie about any type of character he or she wants. And so should you if you value freedom of expression. I haven’t seen the film and I actually believe you that it sucks (I honestly think DiCaprio is a bit of an overrated actor) but I think we all are aware that some of the best portrayals ever on film were of horrible misogynistic characters. That’s a big part of what made the roles so memorable.

@Anna-u9l3n
@Anna-u9l3n 14 күн бұрын
17:09 @lolamontez7782 - MISOGYNISTIC and REALISTIC are BOTH adjectives and, therefore, not necessarily contradictory of each other. Perhaps "Y'all" should have said that the male characters featured in the film, "Don's Plum," all behave MISOGYNTICALLY in order for one to recognize that, like it or not, it is basically an accurate claim. As that is "Y'all's" basic premise or thesis statement, I'm curious to hear from you as to how you support YOUR basic thesis statement/argument: that the film (or its characters) are NOT MISOGYNISTS. I know that I may seem sarcastic about the word "Y'all," but just to be perfectly clear and honest, I absolutely love that word. 100% I do! (It certainly beats the term, "you guys" by a long shot, but I digress.) That being said, I was simply curious as to whom you are referring to as Y'ALL? Who, by your definition/observation, qualifies as a member of these Y'all's claiming that "everything is called misogynistic these days?" Inquiring minds want to know. And don't forget, every gender and age uses the adjective misogynistic when referring to someone who has a hatred for women and girls, or even (just) one who refers to women and girls in a derogatory manner. Peace.

I forgot this movie existed until Dale went on Popcorned Planet the other day. I agree with your take. I also noticed that, going by Jenny's IMDB, this was the last major acting gig she ever did. Bush? Lifehouse? Dozens of other "alternative" bands that tuned their E-strings down to D and one-finger-power-chorded their way to 15 minutes of fame? The reason that Nickelback gets so much hate is that they copy-and-pasted the chord progressions from one album to the next, further bypassing the talent-to-fame paradigm of rockstarhood.
