i used to work at american plastics in kingman arizona. WORST FUCKING PLACE EVER. everything was unsafe. EVERYTHING. oil spills and leaks constantly inside the machine which caused one of the technicians to slip and crack his head on the molding inside the machine and passed out thankfully no one started it up but they fired him for it. hydraulic would over heat and their sollution was a fan jus tsitting outside the machine to cool it down which worked for the machine but remember this is a plastics molding facotry with no ventalation or cooling systems besides two giant swamp coolers that were over 160ft away from you. they made us work on multiple machines sometimes up to 6 in 12 hour shifts each one not stopping its production for even a second youre jogging all the way up and down the lot basically doing half the work in the whole factory by yourself. you ended up lifting over 80 lbs every 5 seconds. not to mention the thousands of holes in the conveyor belts that would snag your clothes and attempt to suck you in. while just taking the trash out youd have to drive a forklift to a dumpser lift it up and take said dumpseter to a bigger dumpster where then youd have to climb the already on and fully extended forklift just to release a latch to let the trash drop. and its an industrial sized trash can like we are using a forklift here it ways tons and your hands are covered in grease while climbing. no ventalation masks so youre just BREATHING IN MICRO PLASTICS. all while some dumb mother fucker named DAVID( WHOM IVE SEEN LIFT HIS 6 YEAR OLD KID OFF THE GROUND BY HIS NECK SWINGING HIM OUTSIDE CAUSE HE DIDNT MANAGE TO PULL ALL THE WEEDS BEFORE DADDY CAME HOME.) goes around shooting pigeons behind your head who fall into said plastic molding machines!

Hi, really rare to watch a 20 minute video in almost one go.. it was very interesting and you made it that way. I'm in the injection molding field for 10 years now but in the same company and the same surroundings. So much less learning new skills and always working on the same type of presses (Krauss Maffei) but we have a lot of new molds and trials.. as I like to say, the injection molding is like a living thing - it always changes and not a single day is boring. Just too much variables for it to be boring. Also did a lot of training and every year I visit either Fakuma or K-show. Anyway.. it was a pleasure hearing how many companies you have changed and how you moved to places because of it. Hope you will find a company that will use your potential and value you and also you can maybe settle somewhere if that is what you would like.

Hey Dave, I'm doing blow molding and have a tool which I have turned the water almost all the way down on and yet I'm still getting condensation inside the mold causing an unwanted texture on the part. It's hot and humid here in VA and I'm battling condensation on all of our tools (injection tools as well) causing rust issues and a giant mess on the floor. Do you have any recommendation on how to cut down on condensation in molding?
@injectionmoldingskillsmore1064
@injectionmoldingskillsmore1064 Ай бұрын
The condensation problem is an issue that I have had for years & there is no way to prevent it other than Climent control on the plant. I have tried several things for insulator boards and insulators for all the water lines. Cutting the water back or chocking it in half will make the molds run hotter. This did help me on some jobs, but you have to watch for the parts getting too hot and warping. There is NO right answer on this issue it is something a lot of companies fight with. Thanks for watching & the support to the channel I greatly appreciate it. I hope I was able to help in some way.
