I would immediately file a complaint. By law pilots have to be able to speak and comprehend English. This pilot needs retraining

His airline could do something different: keep him flying domestically in China. He's an accident waiting to happen

Could be he stays domestic. However, FAA and ICAO require all pilots must be able to read write and speak English. If he can't do that then the ICAO may come after his license AND Air China :-/

@@mattseifman9534 By what is shown here, he theoretically knows English enough to pass the test, at least in China, but not enough to have any meaningful work communication with English speakers. This is so unprofessional
