In the 2nd round Sagat threw a left hook so hard that Nokweed almost got KOd and one of his teeth got loosened. In the 4th round Nokweed was unleashing powerful kicks “like he was possessed”. I wish this full fight was available.

Years later Peter, sadly being a crippled shadow of who he once was, indeed was shot to death trying to help a friend who was robbed. He confronted the robbers and ended up getting shot in the back. In an interview his wife said among the last things he told her was he felt it was his duty to stand up against bullshit like that, because his friend couldn't for himself. I wrote this just to explain he was never a criminal. That is one of the most fearless, honorable warriors I've ever seen. Always respectful in combat, unless if you count kneeing someone in the head who kept stepping on his broken toes deliberately. Outside that he was a true hurricane of perfect technique who never stopped going full force. Too bad a break with his coach and a fumbling new manager helped end his career as quickly as it originated. Now if you're looking for a real dirty dutch fighter, try gerard gordeau. he's probably even proud of it. R.I.P. Hurricane. Osu

I respect his fighting in the ring. He was a great warrior. But he was a criminal in the past and that friend of his was a criminal as well and got robbed because he had fucked up his part of a drug deal. Smit was a troubled man and sadly ruined his own career.
