Def vinty for me..Just bought a vintage 10m..don't see the lady on it..though its a bit worn on the bore and is a 1961, which may not have her on it..But unforunately doesn't play and will have to put money into it..new pads, oil, springs etc..But even then will still have spent the same had I bought one which was ready to play..

When I try to connect to the bottom Bb, I have to play it loudly. Is this good to start with? You make it sound like a soft landing to the low Bb

Why is this video titled that it is comparing a Mark VII? As for me, I am the original owner of my MkVII. I love it and would never trade it for a MkVI.

Could you, if you will have a chance to compare Nexus alto and Selmer Supreme or Signature alto...?

Got this a two months ago. Do you think my band teacher will allow the dark gold color?
@SaxSpyАй бұрын
i dont know any serious teacher that wouldnt allow a sax based on finish color... except a marching band that matches all silver but theyd probably provide the instrument

Can you speak on what the longevity of this horn may look like? Do you think that the materials of the horn and its construction would affect how it would be maintained and repaired down the line compared to other brands like Selmer, Yamaha, Yanagisawa, etc? Moreover, are the parts used pretty standard, e.g., the types of springs, rods, etc? Sorry if this sounds like an interrogation. I don't know much about sax repair, and as much as I want to like the Nexus saxophones, I'm still skeptical about how it holds up long term.
@kwamealievergreen4257Ай бұрын
Predictable, and knowing how the Supreme collectors go unfortunately very few of them will actually get played since they likely aren't sax players. Bummer since Selmer Supremes, both alto and tenor are supposed to be fantastic horns.
@benhostetler268Ай бұрын
They should have called it Mark X
@peterle9982Ай бұрын
more collectors are going to buy the supreme selmer supreme than saxophonists
@lukeserrano62Ай бұрын
Ha ha! I love my Supreme but yes the name is egotistical beyond all measure, and deserves to be ridiculed. Maybe they should have called it the Selmer Concept instead. Or Series IV. Or anything.

What flute would you recommend for a doubler? Not a cheap student horn but also not something as expensive as a pro model selmer.
@SaxSpyАй бұрын
a 400 series yamaha would be nice. some broadway guys like the old golden era haynes. i have one and they handle more air than japanese flutes but arent quite as easy to play
