Kinda late to the party since I was on a kpop break but still I think that Armageddon / Supernova as a comeback is light years ahead of how sweet / supernatural. I love nwjns music and their latest songs aren't bad by any means, however, I expected more from nwjns' than generic easy listening. One could argue that their previous songs are also essentially the same formula but every one of those songs have at least one defining factor that give a unique shape to the song and these recent ones have none of it. And I don't think that that's a consequence of the legal mumbo jumbo that they've gotten themselves into since the songs had already been made a lot prior to their release. Imo, if you're a rapper and you can't write your lyrics you're more of a rap performer than a real rapper. I've literally not once seen kiof's talents being overshadowed by their sexy image. And I'm on twitter so that's saying something. I see Belle being praised for her vocals and Natty / Julie for their dance. These days Haneul is also being recognized for her vocals. Overall everyone talk about their insane stage presence. I still remeber that make some noise moment from that one award show. Literally where is the overshadowing? I find myself not really enjoying Ahyeon's parts even though I absolutely loved her dangerously cover, as well as the little rap she did as her trainee introduction, so I don't really understand why. My theory is that she's constantly given (highlight) parts that don't suit her voice at all.

I tried to empathize with them but I cant, all their success came from being part of HYBE, if it was any other group outside of the big 4 they would be in a worse position than they are now, the way I see it, if its Hybe who has led them to success they can be free to do whatever they want with the group. If the members are so desperate then they can always break away from the contract and maybe Mhj can financially back the contract violation fee since she is so supportive. NJ sees MHJ as their "savior" "mother" because she's manipulated them for years now, so NJ being this attached to MHJ does not mean that their views are right and that MHJ is kind. Everyone should be concerned for the girls but people are turning this as NJ vs HYBE when in the first place, it should've been and always been MHJ vs HYBE and HYBE has made that clear on that part, at least during the first few months. This is honestly an annoying and frustrating issue. MHJ made it personal, attacking any and every idol under HYBE and using the NJ members to save her face and to get the people to pity her. with media coverage and annoying press conferences. HYBE took the professional approach, providing documents and taking everything to court but people still hated on HYBE because MHJ tactic worked. Then NJ publicly, multiple times, showed their support for MHJ. There is no way that in some way HYBE would not take this personally. MHJ started to take it personally, taking NJ with her and HYBE responded personally and it's so crazy to me that HYBE gave and did 50% of what MHJ was doing but HYBE is evil for it. The manager telling ILLIT to ignore Hanni isn't evil, let's not exaggerate pls. Unprofessional? Absolutely, but in the heat of the moment not everyone is quite so tactful when not only protecting your group of idols, but likely your job as well. Say some bit of info that didn't seem that important was said in front of Hanni and she repeated it because it also didn't seem that important to her. But, it ends up being used maliciously by MHJ in some way. Not only would the manager feel guilty for putting ILLIT and HYBE in a weak position, their job would be on the line. As hurtful as the situation was, Hanni is old enough to understand why it happened. There are ways to counteract these situations, but what NewJeans chose to do was possibly the worst option. It's like they feel entitled to require some feelings of trust towards HYBE employees or groups, but not put in the work to regain their trust. In fact, actually doing the very thing to demolish any hope that others can trust them until MHJ is truly gone.
