Beretta is the oldest firearm company on our planet. That Shark's design has a lot of input from Beretta's competition team. You can always swap out the grips which I completely agree with....LOK makes some really nice grips that would help. You have a wrap around on that A3 and the trigger is for battle situations. The trigger in the Squalo is for competition....That whole pistol is built for speed competition shooting. That's why Langdon Tactical offers a more enhanced Squalo. I actually love the trigger.....

Does anyone here go to the stores to physically test and compare what these KZbin reviewers say/claim? or do you guys just take their word?? you guys gotta keep in mind that not everyone has the same body composition, I think homeboy in the video just has "fat fuck" hands to be honest because this gun feels great ergonomically, did not bite my hands the way he mentioned it was doing to him. See a review, take in the information and then physically try these products out as a consumer so that you can test these reviews with your own experience.

I rotate between a P01 omega and a CZ 75D Compact from The Custom Shop. I also have a CZP01 in ODG and two additional 75D Compact, all fully stock and Absolutely love them all. The only other Compact I’ve fired which I would consider adding to the carry rotation is a Beretta PX4 Compact with the Langdon tactical trigger job.

I bought the p01 a month ago and absolutely love it. Most accurate gun i have ever shot. Also, I quite like the trigger as it is. (Regulsr trigger, not omega) Works well for me. I think if i had it made even lighter, i think i probably would find it too light. I do own a p07 too, but never really like it. Did change the trigger with a mcarbo set. Trigger became somewhat better, but the gun as a whole doesnt compare to the p01

What about the recoil spring?. My Sp01 had 18lb stock, I changed to a 15 lb and feels much better… Do you know what stock is for this model?
@GunGuyCody
@GunGuyCody Ай бұрын
I believe the P01 are 16lb springs. What grain ammo are you running? European guns tend to run heavy springs for reliability, and are designed around 124g NATO ammo. Almost all my european guns prefer 124g with the factory springs, I have not messed with any springs on this gun yet.

Nice video on the P01. I have had the Omega version with decocker for 4 yrs now. I really like it and carry IWB. I agree about the sights, they actually really bothered me for a short time, for no other reason than they were not as good as standard sights I had on other guns. After shooting it for some time I found that they are practical and I hit my target and don't really think about them not being as high tech as others. I have LokGrips as well and like them, although I really like the rubber feel of the original, but the gun moves way too much when shooting. The LokGrips allow me to get a much better purchase. Glad you really like this gun too, I recommended it to others. Best wishes on your growing channel, I enjoy your content!

For the difference in about 100 dollars would you choose 92XP or Squalo for EDC? Held both at my LGS and loved the Squalo ergos maybe 9/10 and the 92x was a 7.5/10 I'd convert Squalo to DA/SA for carry, but to add baseplates + magwell + grips to 92XP would cost significantly more than to just swap out trigger components on the Squalo. Also will be adding a 5oz light to either one for holster compatibility and worried that it might make the 92XP too nose heavy. Both look awesome, but the nistan is supposed to be more durable, not sure if it would be in practice. Any help is appreciated!
@GunGuyCody
@GunGuyCody Ай бұрын
Id just get a standard 92FS or M9 in DA/SA put a magwell on it from what it seems like you want. Converting the Squalo to DA/SA kinda defeats the whole purpose of the gun, and the 92x Performance is way too heavy to carry and was designed as a range/competition gun. I don't think either are good choices, I'd pick the Squalo out of your two options, but I'd pick my M9a3 over both.

Just like mine I bought about 10 or 11 years ago. I've since bought four other more "modern" compact pistols to try and upgrade my EDC. Are they better? Not really. The only shortcoming, imho, of the out-of-the-box P-01 is the sights. I'd really like to change them. Even, so, I still shoot is surprisingly well. Over the years I've thought, maybe I should sell it, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

Sounds like a you problem not a gun problem. Beretta didn’t do anything dirty to you lol it’s just not for you dude. Issues that you have not the gun. Yeah it sucks to spend all that money on it and not like it, but that is on you as a buyer to do your research. I always try to shoot before I buy anything for that reason. You could sell it and make most of that money back. It’s a popular gun even used. (If I could I would buy it off you for near msrp and thank you for breaking it in for me lol)

I dont care how relative recoil is. There is no way a p01 has less recoil than that beretta. Your grip on that must be weak as possible especially considering how you’re holding it. Glocks are smoother and have less recoil than a p01. The p01 is so over sprung too. The shadow 2 and tso are about a 1lb heavier. My 2011s blow czs out of the water! I would take this beretta over a nose heavy stock shadow 2 with a shitty double action trigger anytime and the tso is so over rated its laughable! An untuned prodigy would blow it away! Port and tune that berettas trigger, change the grips and you will love it! If not stick to czs and keep spare parts around.

I've started looking at the CZ 75 P-01 resently, I've heard that the saftey model has a smoother double action pole than the decocker model . The saftey model has the quarter cock with safety and the fully cocked with safety, however it does not decock , I guess you have to lower the hammer back to quarter cock carefully by hand but or eject the last round ( if you were going to unload it without running it dry . It's the same action Type as my Beretta Model 84-FF. 380 quarter cock with safety or fully cocked with safety , same as My New Beretta 92 XI SAO . I haven't bought the CZ yet

I have a XI SAO modded basically to a Squalo without the Toni magwell (didn't need it). The only issue I have is mine will shoot low over 25yds. Hearing you complain (not whine per say) on the Squalo, it sounds like you need a 92X Performance.

With less effort…and I’ve spent more money on the PDP compared to a stock Shadow 2. CZ’s, best hand guns !!

I feel like most of the problems you had with the gun are caused by its furniture. Just put on a normal mag release, and tinker with all those components. I am not familiar with this specific single action model, but maybe its either the fact you have a flat trigger, or because you are so used to other trigger pulls: it doesn't seem too big of a problem, atleast while the biggest deal with the Beretta stock triggers is the reset imo. I understand your argument is mostly based on your experience and feelings, but if you cant grip a Beretta in 2024, with all the aftermarket support there is you can adjust it anyway you want. I would understand such a review if you bought it with your eyes closed or if you didnt own a Beretta yet, but whats the excuse? If the gun doesnt fit you, you cant shoot it right, so what did you expect? Safety-wise, Im not certain, but you could try and find one from the Beretta Combat series, they are much more comfortable and natural.

I've completely changed my thoughts on the stock trigger, and think a lot of people are quick to judgment like I was. It's actually really great with a higher round count, it just takes a long time to get there I've discovered. At around 2500 rounds, the difference between my stock one and a CGW pro kit trigger is incredibly small, and mine gets smoother after every range trip. I can defiantly understand why people go straight to the CGW kit because its absurdly poor out of the box, just need to tough it out a bit before it gets good.
